Yeah, but keep in mind Peterson has to agree to a new deal with whoever the Vikings want to trade him to. He never said "it would be nice" to play in Arizona or Tampa Bay.

If there is a deal with Arizona or Tampa Bay, he will most likely take it. The Cowboys might be his preferred place but he is not going to sit out the season or refuse to work with another team. Especially if there is no interest by the Cowboys, which looks to be the case.

I would agree with that. If the Cowboys truly show no interest - which I personally can't see happening - then I think Peterson would make a deal with Arizona.

I just think that if there is any chance for a reasonable trade, Dallas will be the ones making it.

Won't be long now!

Happy Draft Day to all of my Cowboys brethren, no matter which side of this debate you're standing on! I've very much enjoyed the lively conversations (mostly...).

We've all finally reached the day(s) where this subject should be resolved, one way or the other.

I hope we all enjoy Christmas Day for football junkies like us!

We go rb in the first then that's the message. I don't think it is over unless a trade is made today. Not believing Minn will keep him as that would be just stcupid of Minn.to pay that contract.

200 is virtually here

No way I don't think that has ever been the plan. This team needs an upgrade on the DL and Secondary. I don't think they can ignore that need with the first pick. AD is not going to be in play on the first day of the draft imo. Tomorrow and Saturday will be a different story though. Can't wait just to see what happens with that 2nd pick. Tenn is in a prime position to benefit long term.

Draft day is here and I doubt AD is going to be a Cowboy but with Jerry you can never say never!

I don't think that this draft determines whether or not we get Peterson. We can always offer them a 2016 pick. Hell we could offer them a complement of 2016 and 2017 picks.

I'm not sure they can sell giving up Peterson now for a promissory note tomorrow to their fanbase.

Hope this day leads to the Cowboys winning the Super Bowl this year and many years to come. May the Cowboys be wise and sly in their draft day dealings.

Some draft genius was on the Doug Gotlieb show on CBS Sports Radio yesterday, and the draft genius said the Cowboys will draft a RB in the 3rd or 4th round.

None of them seem to have a good handle on what the Cowboys will do.
