The good news for us is the NFC is unaffected by this solution. Does kinda suck for fans of those teams, assuming they reach the title game, but it's unique circumstances.

The issue is the timing. If this occurred early in the season they could've squeezed it in. With the playoffs starting next week there's no good time to do it.
