After two preseason games

You cant tell mich from preseason games. We wont know what kind of team dallas is until after week 3 of the season. They wont be awful but they wont be great but they will win some games.

There are a lot of players we still don't know about. He is one....good catch.

We also will soon get an idea about Terrell McClain, Amobi Okoye, and Anthony Spencer.

Hasn't that always been the problem for the Cowboys? To many misses in the draft and no real scheme have been killing the future of the team forway to long. It's been hard to get excited about this team since 2007-09. and before that it was really bad.

I'm just glad I saw the Cowboys back in the days of Tom Landry then Jimmy Johnson. Waiting on Jerry to deliver is futile.

After 2 preseason games ... I would start Durant and McClain as two LBs. Right now, I don't know who the 3rd LB would be. I would be shopping LB Bruce Carter to see if I could get anything. I have little confidence in Carter at this juncture.

Id love if both teams replayed this and played O and D 1st strings vs 1sts, 2nds vs 2nds etc. i think the Cowboys were better at each level.

Overall there were some positive signs. At least some guys on defense were making plays this week.

It is what it is. Carter has been disappointing so far. He shouldn't even have been out there with the 1's. Maybe he'll shine next week. If it's any consolation to Carter, Cameron Lawrence (53) was worse

I still enjoy football, although with the way they are changing it with all the new rules, I just miss the process of a Cowboys team building for greatness.

I thought Carter played well the few plays he was in. That slant he knocked down was great but I guess some fans only wish to trade players they don't like. Would be very stupid to trade Carter when our defense has the injuries we have

Actually I see greatness in this team. They are young and only getting better. Our team played better this week compared to last week, why you think that is. ..... maybe cause more projected starters played tonight then last week. Geesh let's wait for the real games start before we say this team is in shambles

Maybe we will stay healthy during the season, and maybe our defense will play well enough to allow us to win some games, but....

Right now our DL is so bad, I'm not sure how you can evaluate our LBs.
Our backups on the OL are so putrid, it's hard to evaluate the RBs and Weedon.

On top of that, the only CB good enough to actually play during the season won't be there in the first four games.

What better happen if we hope to be in contention in 2nd half of season:

1. Our top 6-7 DLmen better stay healthy because most of the youngsters are not showing up.
2. We better hope the LBs and DBs on skates look a lot better behind that starting DL.
3. We need Carr and Claybourne healthy and playing well.
4. Free and Smith need to play all 16 games...nothing behind them.

This is what happens when you draft poorly and over pay vets. You have no depth and your margin of error is paper thin to non existent. Don't expect change as long as Jerry still owns the team.

All I see is an 11-5 team w/ a SB offense!

I can't wait until we beat the 9ers then maybe the pessimist will cease!

Haven't been this giddy about a team ready to shock the world since before the start of 2014 finals!

that is exactly what I am saying. Now i could be wrong it might be shorter
but looking at the defensive personal it looks two years out
everybody can grind their teeth and say what they what .That is what it looks like. [IMHO]
