You have it right. Right now there are two great defenses in the playoffs. Go to the Stats charts and high light the defensive points allowed. You will see New England number one and the Giants number two. Do you believe in history and does it repeat itself? Does defense win championships (look at the last two Giants Super Bowls and last years Super Bowl). Great offenses have been laid waste in the playoffs for as long as I can remember. If you are a betting man, put your money on the great defenses.

Now for the predictions for this weekend
1. Seahawks vs Lions - This one is not a history data prediction but one based on injuries. I am not comfortable with this but the two big injuries and the win/losses have me almost picking the Lions. But, Seahawks in Seattle with the third best points allowed defense are hard to beat, give me Seattle in a very close game.
2. Giants vs Green Bay - This one is easier to pick. The Giants will make Green Bay one dimensional with passing as their only offensive weapon. The Giants beat the Cowboys with very good talent, but it was their schemes that wreaked havoc on Dak and Zeke (more on this next week). This is what is going to make Rogers inaccurate and lead to miss reads and bad decisions causing 3 or 4 turn overs and two pick 6s. Eli will be more cautious this game (not beating himself) but lead drives that result in 3 field goals. Green Bay will have a hard time scoring 14 points and the Giants should be around 23 points.
Aaron Rodgers has one pick six in his career Magellan. You couldn't hit water if you fell out of a boat.

We will talk again later when the facts are in. What will you say when it comes true? You do know that you have not been right yet!!

Again, terrible way to judge a game. "Away" and "home" is this really how you're determining it?
They DID "physically beat us down" - Yet again, watch the games.

You attempting to put up yards allowed and turnovers. You cut out all context. In game one, they dominated our great line. This was talked about and even the O-line wanted to prove themselves against the Commanders the following week.

We dominated the Seahawks in 2014. Our O-line wore down their D throughout the game allowing us to put up points near the end. We haven't done this to the Giants. They have beat us with blitzes, confused us on offense, shut down our receivers, and made our running game ineffective.

You are trying to make this about points. You are using raw statistics to push a narrative. You watched the games, you were there just like the rest of us and you saw how it went down. Us keeping the Giants to 10 points was not an accomplishment, they are not an offensive juggernaut. Them keeping us to 7 points WAS an accomplishment for them. Show me another game this season we were so out of sync. Go ahead and find the game.

They physically beat our team down. Now you can go ahead and attempt to prove their D didn't get the best of our "great offense" that was putting up big points on nearly every opponent.

We go dominated while our D kept an already mediocre offense in check.

NEXT!
You evidently watched a different game from the many of us, those games were hard fought and tough. Truth is they could have gone either way. But to say they physically beat Dallas down is incorrect. I think the weather had a lot to do with Daks

Jared Cook a very good tight end will be playing for the Packers this weekend, Giants are known to have trouble with tight ends. Also the Packers have been held to 14 points only one time during this regular season, that was week two against the Vikings. As for pressuring the quarterback, I'm sure both teams will attempt to make the opposing quarterback uncomfortable. I'm just curious as to why you would have Eli out playing Rodgers? when Rodgers recent level of play has been at a MVP level.

Eli will not be facing the type of defense that Rogers will. If you notice I do not give Eli any touch downs. If not for Rogers the Packers would not be in the playoffs. The Giants got here because of their defense. If Eli went down the Giants would still win. My statement was not a slight of Rogers, it was a conformation of the Giants defense.

I don't see dominating there. Dominating is your offense scoring a lot of points and defense holding to minimal points. I don't think playing one part of the game well = dominating, I believe it's playing ALL aspects well.

Besides, our defense did the same thing to their offense that last game.

The Giants played the Packers earlier in the year, and the Packers won. In that game Greenbay had a few big plays called back due to penalties. If not the score would not have been as close as it ended up being , 23-16 I think it was. By all accounts the Packers were not playing well early in the year, yet they were still able to beat the Giants, maybe they just match up well against the Giants, but truth is Rodgers is just a great quarterback. As for the Giants being able to win without Eli, did you mean win against the Packers? or win as team in general? Because there is no way the Giants come close to winning 11 games without Eli. And I don't think there is anyway they beat the Packers without Eli. While you say you respect Rodgers, you still have the Giant defense turning him over, and holding him to 14 points, something they were unable to do earlier in the year. I think Rodgers and company roll in this game, I could be wrong, but that's why they play the games on the field and not on paper. No disrespect meant to your opinion.

I figured the Giants wouldn't make it out of Green Bay.
Now we get a rematch with a team we beat.
