You never know, with our defense. New Orleans and Indianapolis had better offenses this season, and we shut down both of them.
They're both big play offenses though. NE is a whole different monster that I think we would have struggled against.

BUT, we do have Scandrick, who is probably better able to cover Edelman than anyone on the Seahawks, as strange as that may seem.

We did beat them. We didn't beat the Refs. Call me a sore loser and get on your sanctimonious high horse about how we should have played better earlier. That doesn't negate the other. Both are truths. We WERE better than Green Bay.

We didn't beat Green Bay because we weren't good enough. It happens. Sometimes, the other team is just better.

Just imagine of the Cowboys would've made it and Romo throws that pick at the end. That would have been devastating

You know I think Tony (and every QB for that matter) will never forget that play. It will always be in the back of your mind in that situation in a huge game like that. It was brutal.

lol-and the Packers were better than Seattle. That along with your sour grapes still makes New England the winner.

Cowboys could have beaten either team.

Seattle - yes. NE - I'm not so sure. That short passing game would have been difficult for us to stop. The Seattle DB's are better than ours and they couldn't do it.

Maybe.....

Scandrick covered Cobb most of the GB game and Cobb went off for 8 catches and 116 yards.

At the end of the day Scandrick is a <good> CB but I don't buy the elite talk I hear here on CZ.

I don't think so. It's different beating a team in game 4 and beating them in an NFC Championship game. When both teams are talented, it comes down to which team is smarter. We are not smart enough to win yet, maybe next season, maybe not. We shall see, but we don't belong on that stage yet.

Not smart enough to win....... guess only idiots can win 12 games

Edelman isn't Cobb...and the majority of those yards came when Scandrick was elsewhere.

But he wouldn't have. He was the only QB to go
Ickes all post season.
Anyway..
Our line would have blown open a hole and game over
...we can dream.

In all honesty, I do think our defense would have had trouble with New England.
But in a one game scenario, you never know.

Who didn't shut New Orleans offense down? The Colts were basically sleep walking when the Cowboys trounced them.

I think this all just goes to show. It comes down to some really random plays. You just need a QB who can get you into the dance. Romo has become that QB. It's pretty lame that Brady got MVP, he had a fairly bad game, missed a bunch of throws and had some bad picks. It's a parity league, hopefully we can make a run in the next few years with some good signings and some good ol' fashioned luck which is what it takes sometimes.

Uh, no, we weren't. Otherwise, we would have beaten them.

If the Pats have a quarterback other than Brady, they lose that game going away. And Brady leads the game-winning drive.
