He did contradict himself when he said something along the lines of Collins being the sole reason the Skins offense has taken off, and then practically in the next breath said essentially the exact same thing about Santana Moss.

He did call it as he saw it, but from watching past games he has announced, I agree that he goes that extra mile to show that he's not bias toward the Boys.

Yes, and I'm sure Troy would say "it's not my job to root for the Cowboys." No Troy, it's your job to provide fair and balanced analysis and providing sound logic behind your analysis. Taking any chance you get to bash Dallas and praise their opponents IS just as bad.

Someday there will be some network that will realize that fans do indeed like legit unbiased commentary from sports announcers. But with the praise Aikman gets as an announcer, my guess is it's going to be awhile.

Sorry but I like Troy, as a QB and as an annoucer. As a player he never said much but as an annoucer he is trying to be a good one. He has a winning history with Dallas so I would find it hard to argue with his calls. Anyone here play as long as Troy did? Not win as many games as he did, just play as many as he did?

I think he was speaking alot of the truth today...not much of anything positive to say about the Boys today.... I mean how much sugarcoating can you have when your team rushes for one yard....he is the least of their worries right now

My main problem with Aikman usually comes on penalties. For starters, if Dallas gets a false start, then all he can talk about is how they have a problem with penalties and they really kill themselves with them. It doesn't matter if they only had 2 penalties all game long. As long as they get one minor penalty, he'll go on to talk about the lack of focus, discipline the Cowboys have and how they are a penalty making machine.

The other thing is that whenever there is a penalty are they show the replay, Aikman says Dallas commmitted a foul or got away with one about 95% of the time. And if Dallas gets hosed on a penalty, like the Alan Ball PI call today...he doesn't say a word. And *if* he does mention that it was a bad call against Dallas, it's almost like pulling teeth.

Not to mention he loves to play up silly storylines. According to him and Buck the offense has struggled really bad the past FOUR weeks, which includes the Lions game...which is complete nonsense.

It's obvious that Troy is very averse to being labeled as a Cowboys homer..which is fine. However, going out of your way to do the exact opposite is really just as bad as some high school announcer blatantly rooting for the home team.

I tell you one thing. John Madden can criticize a flaw that the Cowboys have, and nobody will say that Madden is Bias, and most times will agree with him. Madden doesn't seem bias towards anyone; he is a good announcer. Aikman, on the other hand, since people complain, obviously doesn't have the same ability to come out as unbias. Maybe, that means he is doing something wrong.

He is really good on the radio.

I am beginning to prefer Moose over Aikman on TV.

The only part I can agree with is on penalties where Madden sort of shuts up if it's a bad call. However, over the years he does that with every team since he is afraid of making refs look bad.

I know I have a Cowboys bias, but I think I'm truly being unbiased when I say that Aikman goes out of his way to go against the Cowboys when he's announcing games. In the end it really doesn't matter, but it's just completely annoying to hear. After the first half today I just put the game on mute and started to listen to the Cowboys broadcast on Sirius. And to tell you the truth, I would've rather listed to the Commanders broadcast on Sirius than listen to Aikman.

One example is criticizing the cowboys for playing Romo, who is just trying to get one more completion for a record, but not criticizing the Commanders for keeping their players in, when it was becoming obvious that they won the game, and that the Vikings suck.
