if you say so... i never understood it's popularity (new kid in town). it seems pretty inane but i guess it's just another of the many things i never understood.

Exactly. It's obvious he wants to make Randle look better and CMike worse.

Which is funny since Randle was just handed the job after not being able to get on the field last year. And we have since learned that DMurray was very average, so what does that make Randle.

DMC was traded out for TRichardson in OAK but is a legend in the waiting around here.

But Michael who was a 2nd round draft pick and a SPARQ superstar is trash.

This is misleading. Why are you posting Combine numbers for Michael and McFadden and teh Pro day numbers for Randle? Pro day numbers are always better for everyone.

Randle ran a 4.63 at the combine.

I posted both for Randle and you edited out the combine number when you quoted me.

No I didn't edit anything. I quoted your post as is. Your post (#28) still has the Pro day numbers.

That ruins his whole thread

No, it was a reply to someone, who like many others does not appear to have watched any of C-Mikes carries in the NFL.

The 1st line in my post was a question asking if anyone had watched his NFL carries. Nobody has responded to that part of my post.

If you read my OP, it was not "trashing" C-Mike. I think it was a positive review and I'm curious to see him on the field with the Cowboys.

Regardless of whether he is good, great or terrible in the future, as stated in my OP I'm curious why people think he is great as of right now. It seems that most have not really watched his NFL carries to really know much about him.

He was drafted in the same class and tier with Eddie Lacy and Leveon Bell.

Any Cowboy fan would love to have 2 years from either of them.

Michael was completely blocked by Lynch in SEA, time to see if he can be as good as his draft stock.

If you can't have expectations and hope for a guy like him you might as well hang em up as far as being a glass half filled fan.

There's some truth to that bk but keep in mind that if he was even in the same stratosphere a Bell or Lacy he wouldn't have been blocked by Lynch. Lynch held that team hostage until they bowed to his demands to stay in Seattle. If Michael was even close to the player that Bell or Lacy they would have let Lynch take a hike and carried on with Michael and his much more cap friendly rookie deal. The dude was just sent packing for a 7th round pick by a team that knows this guy 100 times better than our own staff.

I'll root for the guy because he's a Cowboy. Just like I'll root for Weeden, Randle, Bryant, Witten, or any other player that wears the star but let's not disillusion ourselves into thinking he's something that he clearly isn't.

I assume that you read in sequential order. My post (#27) has the combine number for Randle.

Good point. If Bell was with Seattle, Lynch does not get a new contract.

Nobody said Michael was trash. Ryan Williams was a 2nd round pick also.

If Pete Carroll got rid of Beast Mode up in SEA for a rookie he would be a fool and strung up on a pole. Sometimes it is just a numbers game. I wouldn't read anything into how it played out in SEA.

It's not a cult of Michael as opposed to people not being all that confident in our current backs over the long-term and in wanting to see what Michael can do. If he stinks, roll with what we have. I don't see what's so wrong about wanting to see what this guy is capable of.

I'm interested to see when he can do, but I'm curious to know if there is some information that I'm missing considering multiple saying that he is definitely a great player.

I'm interested to know if they have some information that I don't or if it's the same reasoning that had people claiming that Ben Gardner was great even after he did nothing in the preseason.

Nobody has responded to the question at the beginning of my OP asking if anybody had studied his carries in the NFL.

Nope. I just want to know if anybody actually studied his NFL carries or if they are just looking at his combine numbers.

Sure he would, because Bell would only have 50 carries the last 2 years. They still drafted Turbin the year before Michael. It was most likely a "Best on Board" draft that backfired when Lynch exploded.

Most people don't respond to loaded questions. You sound like Rogah.

You presume people are just uneducated fan boys that can't possibly have the inside info you have with the All 22 film of all 50 of his carries. Some people followed him at TAM, some researched him at the draft and others have seen his potential when mentioned as a possible Cowboy.

Maybe, but if he actually had value in the Bell/Lacy Range he wouldn't be had for 7th round pick. Those teams knew about those players from the get go. Two years later the Seahawks saw fit to salvage a 7th for the guy. He's role player that was worthy of a few "relief" carries. In contrast, the Cowboys could probably get the same value in a trade for a player (Randle) that was drafted a full three rounds later.

If Carrol has proven anything it's that he's a pretty decent guy at getting the most out of his talent. I don't think the Seahawks are even in the top 5 of the league in talent (especially offensively) yet he's been to 2 Super Bowls in a row.

I'll wish the kid the best but the "cult of Michael" is a lot more about hope than actual production. We ALL hope the kid is good but that's all it is. Hope.
