It tells a story about our Oline and TE's blocking acumen that is unarguably the biggest takeaway from this New York biased article. The tackling by the rest of the Giants was outstanding and should also be noted.
IMO EElliot was a little anxious upon hitting those holes and their was still "some meat on that bone" if he could of been a little more patient, like others have pointed out when Alfred Morris came into the game. To still be in this game with less than a minute is a real testament to the rookie QB and his lack of turnovers and poise in the pocket. I still say the best thing about this game is that QB is off the table for next year's draft board even after this disappointing loss, we have some talent to work with in Prescott and the sooner he gets some seasoning the nightmare he will be for defensive coordinators will deepen for the NFC east.

so you're assuming (or hoping) Dakota's magic/mojo transcends this coaching staff's incompetency and history of tarnishing good players? I am too. All we have left to hope for.

IMO we win that game if we played keep away like we did in the first half. The crazy thing is this coaching scheme would of worked if not for some drops and brain locked plays by the WR's. Do I like and think it is fun to watch this scheme hell no but it gives the defense the best chance to be average and rested.

as much as that article points to our Oline getting blasted by their D we still lost by 1 point. crazy. you would think we would have lost by 30 by how terrible our run O was and the drop passes too.
I agree this game was in doubt till the last play of the game.

Good stuff. My takeaway was what I thought I saw during the game.
The great o line got it handed to them. Elliott got impatient on a few runs. Play 5 in particular, if he slows down just a bit, written seals the edge and their is nothing but green to the outside.
Also, with their lbs and FS charging the line on every play, a little play action and quick hitting slant would have gashed them.

Great analysis. Looking at it from a Macro perspective, the Giants aggressively played the run in this game and crashed the LOC like nobody's business. Life in the NFL with a rookie QB and a team that has made no secret about their intentions. A lot of this will go away if Dallas can start passing the ball further than ten yards down the field consistently and teams start respecting Dak Prescott. If they don't then we are looking at 2015 all over again (or at least until Romo comes back).

You mean adjustments? Come on man! You know we don't know how to do such things.

Using a baseball analogy, garret is like a finesse pitcher hitting spots in the hitters weakest area. What we need is a flame thrower that says hit it if you can. Those guys win in October.

I am at work and cannot watch the video. Can someone give me a reader's digest version and name the culprits on our side so I can send them well wishes this weekend?

Look at the number of Giants in the box on each play he goes through.

Play 1 - 8 in the box
Play 2 - 6 in the box
Play 3 - 6 in the box
Play 4 - 8 in the box
Play 5 - 7 in the box
Play 6 - 6 in the box, possibly more
Play 7 - 8 in the box, basically 9
Play 8 - 8 in the box
Play 9 - 7 in the box with 8th pulled in by tight WR Beasley
Play 10 - 6 in the box
Play 11 - 8 in the box with 10 within 10 yards of the play.

Basically on half these runs there were 8 in the box. That is going to be hard to run on. The sad thing is that when they only had 6 in the box they still whipped our OL. Not a good effort at all by any of the linemen. You have to make hay when you are running against 6 in the box. Period.

How many plays did Dak change pre-snap. This is where Romo, with a little sand-lot, see's the 8 plus in the box, or gets them to show it............and changes it to our advantage pre-snap.

What I'm hoping is Dak can manage enough of the offensive ship that we can focus on defense and put the team in the hands of Rod Marinelli, who has proven success as a coordinator. If we start building up a dominant defense, we won't have to put up 30 points a game, and we see how important defense is when Siemian, a 2nd year player, came in and got a victory over the Panthers because he didn't have to play perfect ball and constantly trade scores with the opposing quarterback.

Watch the third run described again. If Zeke is patient and follows off of Collins and Frederick he only has the safety to beat for a TD

Not disputing your point but please learn when to use "of" and "have". The way to use it is: would have and could have

The bad blocking by Witten worries me. This week he'll face Kerrigan and Preston Smith. Not as good as JPP and Vernon, but they're no slouches. Luckily, the Skins' safeties typically aren't as reliably good tacklers as Collins, and their interior DL aren't as good as Snacks. Still, I'm worried.
