This is a bit of a side-step but, I hope they continue to run Zeke.

I've gone from disgust at 2 or 3 yards per carry to grudging appreciation of the hard yards Zeke gets. I don't want to run Zeke at the expense of Pollard, however.

Notwithstanding Zeke's ridiculous contract, I do think he is a good compliment to Pollard.

I knew I was going to agree with this thread just from reading the title. But, they will run more than us if the game is at all close so I don’t think we need to out rush them, just control their run game to some extent and not get dominated. this is a trenches game And we need to do better in the trenches than last year

SF only lost 1 game when they had more rushing yards than the opponent.
- That was game 1 with Trey Lance at QB.
- Lance had a 50.3 QB rating in that game.

Of 4 losses, 3 were in the 5 games with their lowest rushing yards.

The opponent only exceeded 100 rushing yards in 5 games this season.

Rushing Yards per Game
- SF averaged 139 yards rushing.
- SF opponents averaged 78 yards rushing.

If they continue to feature the horrid Zeke, this game is over before it started.

Also, as much as some here have a problem with it, Zeke will have to play the role of punisher in this game
Their defense needs to be worn down and Pollard can’t do it alone

Punisher? Falling down after 2 yards isnt punishing anyone.

49ers are going to run the ball down our throats and take our lunch money. And will shut our running game down to non existence.

I hate to say it but this is one game Dak better light up the QB stats. Cee Dee Lamb and Dalton Shultz will be a bigger factor than Zeke and Pollard.

To read some devoted Cowboys fan say they hope that they continue to feature Zeke is mind boggling. NO devoted Cowboys would possibly want to give carries to Zeke over Pollard. How much more evidence does someone need?

Sadly I have to agree. Niners are a bad matchup for us. Dak will have to have an all world game and its not likely against the #1 defense in the NFL with no run game. They will shut down the run and Dak will be running for his life. ONLY big chance we have is to feature Pollard in the offense and get him the ball out of the backfield in the short passing game and let him do his thing.

What are the odds of that? We all know they will come out featuring the horrid Zeke.

We will need to play mistake free football and come up with a turnover or two. And if it comes down to a FG kick do you have confidence in that?

so its all about the trenches lol say it OL and DL are super important. they have to pay very well for us to win not contribute 14 penalty's to a loss like last years 9er game. we lost on those penalty's, no doubt.

So, not only did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, you apparently have a reading comprehension issue.

I’ve said this all week but I don’t see how we take it away playing only two LB’s.

Unfortunately, I’ll bet LVE is the only LB on the field with a horde of safeties flying around.

Zeke should be given nothing at all save a handful of carries to spell Pollard or short yardage type stuff. Giving it to Zeke is pretty much a wasted play on average.

If you actually hope we win this game then you should be praying that Zeke is riding the bench as much as possible.

we do need zeke and also need the OL to get physical and a real FB would be nice as well for this type of game.

Im not looking forward to it as much as I did watching Garrett get punted, but Zeke getting cut will come in a close 2nd.

If zeke is on this team next year then there truly is no hope at all for us to ever win another SB with Jerry as the GM.
