why?

what has he ever done in his career as HC, forget '92 and '93, that makes you put any faith in him?

I want to hear real positives, not some lame excuse for why he failed 2 stops before

You want reasons but claim them to be excuses. Pretty much you have your mind made up and do not want to hear any reason. Coaches need talent to win I don't care how good a coach is it still comes down to talent on the field producing. If you think he had talent to work with then we just disagree.

You would think the Dolphins would have just hired the great and masterful Norv Turner as HC...since they know what he is about with his time there as OC.

Hmmm.

you're right, I do have my mind already made up, and it's not clouded w/ visions of '92 and '93

if Norv Turner was the Giant Ocoordinator in '92 and '93, and he had this record, noone would want him

1.) he had no say in Wash. and Oaktown

...uh....uh, there was that one time in '93

2. He is Dreamy.

There are no positives for Turner. Only excuses. There is absolutely nothing he has done as a head coach that can be construed as positive, and make us think "We need that here!" His list of positives include not being Bill Parcells, representing a tie to the good ole days (we already have Garrett), and having a hot daughter. There are no positives. Only excuses for why he has failed.

lol es is one of the worst sites ever made. one that their own newspaper the washington post said at the begining of 2006 on its worst site of the yr(for2005) article. basically compared that site to a chicken with its a head cut off.

Hey...I have seen your High School pictures. Unlike myself, you are just not too sexy so I would not be picking on norv.

Now...I am very sexy so I can get away with it.

Just remember that young mr I am not as sexy as BP.

You have been told.

Reasons why he failed you take it as an excuse and thats fine if you don't want him that is your opinion but I do think Turner in the right situation can succeed. As for the comment about Parcells I supported him and hated to see him leave but he has and this team is in the process of interviewing coaches. Singletary is another candidate who will be in today to interview for the job. One thing all of these coaches will have in their favor including Turner is talent to work with something Turner lacked in Washington and Oakland and without talent no team will win.

without an baised opinion. atleast try. can u say that norv has actually had a legit shot with the previous teams he's coached to form anything? ask yourself that.

I'm with you regarding Oakland, but in DC he had 6-7 years and couldn't get a winning team together.

This thing with Aikman, he is one of Norv's best friends, what's he gonna say? Geesh:rolleyes:

The hot daughter is a good enough reason for me. Welcome Norv!:welcome: Who cares about winning football games.

There are no reasons for being a head coach and not improving your team at all - but making them worse. Coaches have had success under Al Davis. Coaches have had success under J.K. Cook, and Daniel Snyeder, at least more than Norv had. All the "reasons" amount to are ill-placed excuses (that are often not true, like the notion that Washington had no talent) for why Norv has been a failure everywhere as a HC. The teams that actually ahd no talent -Norv did nothing to make them better or improve the talent level.

But this is somehow going to change in Dallas? Hardly.

Anyone but Norv. :D

Did norv have any say in talent? according to everything I saw no he did not that was left up to the GM the same GM who has bothched draft after draft in Houston.

Oh please:rolleyes

You're talking about the Washington Post which has effectively been blacklisted at Commanders Park and is purposely kept from getting good inside dish because their blatant bias got the point of overflow and absurdity. The Washington Post who Joe Gibbs recited as one of the reasons he came back to coach...he got so tired of reading the lies and Garbage that paper would spew for copy.

The Washington Post doesn't have an axe to grind with ES...not at all!

That's like saying The Dems labeled FOX NEWS the worst out there...no bias there to cloud the judgement at all! (don't jump my case here I think FOXNEWS blows and I'm a conservative, just making an analagous point)

The WP lost all credibility on all things Commanders long ago....their indictment on a fan site is hardly even relevant....and I'm an administrator at a different site so there's zero bias here.

yes he had quite a say, to the degree that Snyder fired Casserly in an effort to defer to him and eliminate conflicts. Heath Shuler and Michael Westbrook were hand picked by Turner among others. The GM wanted different guys and Turner got who he wanted.
