All-Pro and Pro Bowl LT Tyron Smith is unlikely to return!

The blindside protector since 2011 will not be re-signed. And if you are Tyron Smith, like D Ware and a few others, you leave Dallas if you really want to win a Superbowl.
Eventually, Micah Parson and Lamb will do the same thing. First: get paid by Dallas then leave because you are not going to get a Superbowl with The Jones winning
The Forbes Bowl every season.

--- so now the OL is worse. Though Tyron is always missing games, he was great WHEN HEALTHY. But that is the problem with him the injures and his age.
The LT, center and the RT is now all issues. So this so-called "all-in" got more of an issue.

Whatever happens or what he chooses, hope he achieves what he's looking for and able to walk a straight line after his football career.

There is no Tackle that we can draft at 24 that’s going to be a better option than Smith.
Guy can’t run block anymore. Get over it. This isn’t 2016 Tyron. Tyron is a big part of the run game struggles. Center was highest weakness but LT wasn’t far behind.

Folks are freaking out because both sides are making business decisions. Tyron is going to get a sizeable deal. He’s right to take it. We are also right to want to move on.
As per usual , the cowboys failed to plan and now have to make a seat of their pants decision to try and replace a pro- bowl caliber LT. You move on if you have a plan. Seems our plan it to protect Daks blindside with a rookie. You can’t say “ we are all in” as Jerry has and make silly decisions like this one having no clue whose going to play the most important position (and the most difficult position to find) on the OL.

Hate to see big #77 go. But every year it became a matter of how much time he was going to miss. Because he was gonnna miss some games.

But when he played he was very good.

Good luck to him.

Telegraphing their first round pick in the Draft...or the position anyway?
It seems they are hell bent on keeping Tyler at OG but I guess if they do not get a OT they want in the first they could move him and get an OG or have Bass take that spot.

It’s time to move on. Finding a replacement should be interesting if they don’t slide Tyler back to LT.

Which is dumb.

"Hey, we've had the best LT in the NFL for over a decade now and done nothing at all with him. So, it's only logical to drop him and use our first round pick on another LT. Ya know, since they are team changers and all."

Tyron Smith, if nothing else, proved that it doesn't matter how great your LT is they are not determining your success or failure.

Tyron Smith was part of what? 3 Wild Card wins? If Tyron Smith never played for the Cowboys we still win those 3 games.

So you are saying a 2nd team All-Pro can't run block any more?
Yep go watch the film. He’s an average at best run blocker. Can’t move well enough anymore, doesn’t extend and get to the 2nd level. This is a wise move if they want to improve the running game.

This is true. Tyler Smith is a far better run blocker at this point. He really is our best option and a good one to move over to LT.

Yep.
It's a take BobHaze has shared as well Mountain, and that I agree with.

And that is it's funny how the individual honors of all these Cowboy players still never translates to team success in the playoffs either.

So we're left scratching our heads saying were they truly the difference makers we paid them to be?

We know the answer at QB is a no.

Edge rusher(Parsons)is beginning to look questionable as well and we'll hafta see on WR(Lamb) I guess.

Maybe one of them will really take over a playoff game one of these days like I'm sure their 2nd contract's numbers will project that they should.

smh
