Wes Welker being on the all-pro team bothers me. He's a very good player and would be an asset to any team. But if I had a vote, I'd vote for the physically gifted bigger receivers who could fit ANY scheme rather than a guy who serves a specific role, even though Welker does do that role really well.

I still think Welker is a top-10 WR, but all-pro seems to be a bit much. Give me V-Jax, Andre Johnson, or even his teammate, Randy Moss, over Welker. And for this specific season, it think you can make valid arguments for Sidney Rice and Miles Austin.

Welker was one of the most effective players in the entire league. How much impact they have on the field is what it's about, or at least should be about. That Miles Austin or Randy Moss or whoever is more physically gifted is completely irrelevant.

Uh you do realize that every team has a slot receiver right? theirfor fits into every teams scheme. yes the routes my be different but its all the same at the end of the day. He'd get open his qb would toss him the ball hed scamper down the field.

Nah. It's the system that allowed him to average 9 or 10 catches for 100 yds a game......
