This will be interesting. I tend to agree, but if he is a replacement and they use a high draft pick on a WR I would be okay with that.

The Cowboys handling of this will be interesting. Burns could be an upgrade over TWill but cutting TWill doesn't make cap sense. TWill might be safe because of the cap implications.

Burns would be a clear upgrade over every receiver on the roster, including Dez except Beasley who is a stud at what he does. This could be a Dez replacement for half of Dez salary.

I would think that drafting a receiver is not likely period unless we are making some other moves at receiver.

We now have Bryant, Hurns, Williams, Beasley, Thompson, Switzer and Brown as a potential corps. How many think we'll keep seven receivers?

Brown could be the odd man out or we could be working on a deal for one of the others. But unless we trade Dez, I can't see receiver being much of a consideration in the draft.

Cutting Williams doesn't make sense, but trading him would. (My understanding is the amount saved or loss capwise would be negligible,) Not sure what we could get for him, though.

I don't think they have to be in a hurry to make that move. They could still take all these guys to camp unless someone makes the right offer.

mr Willrise--- i see this signing and the deonte kid who by the way ran a 4.31 at combine as both adding weapons for Dak and as leverage for a Dez pay cut or even maybe trade?......also makes me wonder if getting a receiver 1st round is now not their focus?...this draft is rich in receivers...what are your thoughts with these new acquisitions and how it may play out with Dez?

If I had to guess, I think Dez will have this year to re-establish himself.
