I certainly think Hurns (when healthy) is a welcomed addition. From what I've read he is a good route runner and can line up anywhere.
I'd still like a vertical threat, but we've needed another good route running reciever so Hurns should help.

Am I the only one not too bothered by an occasional drop? Sure it sucks when it happens in the moment but these guys all provide value on every play. It’s just one down and the worst catchers still only drop like a dozen a season that’s like ripping on a linemen for holding here and there

Williams has so many boneheaded plays though. Holds. Blocks in the back. Drops. Not having ANY situational awareness.

He's not a terrible player, but Hurns is definitely an upgrade in every facet.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...avior-can-be-a-distraction-says-stephen-jones

"It's certainly visible to anyone who watches our games. Dez is certainly a fiery guy who plays with a lot of emotion both on and off the field. Sometimes, that can be a distraction. It can be a distraction for Dez, it can be a distraction for other teammates. We just have to really get our hands around when you put all the full body of work together where that's headed." - Stephen Jones
Thanks.

He’s such a bucket headed clod

FRISCO, Texas – Two days after taking a free-agent visit to Dallas, wide receiver Allen Hurns has agreed to a two-year deal with the Cowboys.

Hurns, 26, was released by the Jaguars on Tuesday after starting 42 games in Jacksonville over the last four seasons, posting 2,669 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns in four seasons. Hurns reportedly drew interest from other teams, including the Jets, who were expected to visit with him this week.

Brain--- what are you personal thoughts on this acquisiton?... among other things do you see it as leverage for a Dez pay cut or trade ?

So most likely Dez is cut next year if he doesn't improve. If Hurns beat out Cole he is most likely traded. I doubt they will touch Twill. There is no benefit from cutting him. Maybe trading him. Move Twill, Beasley and a 4th to Seattle for Earl Thomas?????

It's like if Hurricane Harvey is logic and reason and your argument is the city of Rockport,

Too soon?
Texas--- do you see this signing as a better #2 and/or also leverage for a Dez pay cut or trade?...interesting signing....the deonte kid they signed ran a 4.31 at combine ...so they can use him as an outside burn threat maybe?..looks like cowboys are trying to get Dak more weapons

Great signing. Cut Dez and draft a WR and our WR issues are much less. Dez has been a drag mentally and financially on this team for a couple years now. Time to let him go ***** and moan on another team.
Yeah. No

Hes 26y/o and has 1k 10td season under his belt. Hes young enough to do it again.
mr Willrise--- i see this signing and the deonte kid who by the way ran a 4.31 at combine as both adding weapons for Dak and as leverage for a Dez pay cut or even maybe trade?......also makes me wonder if getting a receiver 1st round is now not their focus?...this draft is rich in receivers...what are your thoughts with these new acquisitions and how it may play out with Dez?

Not affecting Dez this year. I think They trade Beasley and TWill for whatever they can get. Too many WR on the roster many of which do not play ST. Roll the season with Dez, Hurns, Thompson, Switzer, Brown, and whoever they bring in to compete for the 6th spot with Lenoir
