I know a lot of us are sore after our loss to Buffalo. However, almost no harm was done.
There was considerable harm done. The Cowboys got exposed. The blueprint on how to beat them was on full display. When teams prepare to play them in the playoffs, its very easy to see which games they struggled in this year.

Seeing how MM and the coaching staff failed to have the Cowboys ready and not make the right adjustments in those losses gives me no reassurance they will have the team ready to win 3 games in a row on the road to make the super bowl.

Well, first off… only once in the past decade has a 4 loss or worse team gotten the #1 seed in the NFC. So, no, most years our record would not be good enough.

Second, you’re right about San Fran. They're the only for real team in the NFC this year.

Third, none if this really matters in the end as the Cowboys can’t beat good competition on the road and I’m not even confident they could do it at home either with the way they get ran on.

So, at the end of the day, this season will end just like every other Cowboys playoff as most of us have said all season long.

In fairness, I think I had us going either 13-4 or 12-5 before the season, and I felt at best we'd be in the NFCC. If we can get the 2nd seed, I think we can still do that because we are dominant at home. However, SFO is just on another level.

Right, but the Eagles loss means that the division race isn't over. From that perspective, if we can get the 2nd seed, then maybe we can at least last until the NFCC before our season ends. If, however, we do go to the WC, then this season will hit a sudden end in the division round.

The Lions are also 10-4, and the Cowboys play them, so it’s still possible the Lions become the 2 seed.

So losing to 49ers makes your team trash? You guys will always be miserable if you think like that. The Cowboys can beat the 49ers.

I know a lot of us are sore after our loss to Buffalo. However, almost no harm was done. The Eagles loss to the Seahawks last night means that if we can win the remainder of our games, and, if Tommy DeVito is playing and can lead the Giants to beating Philly at least once, we might be back in the division race. Somehow, the Giants are still in contention for a playoff spot (https://www.foxsports.com/articles/nfl/2023-24-new-york-giants-odds-odds-to-win-super-bowl-nfl-playoffs-division#:~:text=The Giants have a 0.2,of earning a playoff spot.), albeit not very high. We were probably going to need the Giants to win one against Philly regardless of how the game against the Bills finished in case we dropped one. Let's face it, starting with the start of the Cowboys win streak, we were asking the Cowboys to win 9 consecutive games and still need a bit of help. Naturally, this is the NFL, and winning 9 games in a row is especially difficult.

If the Cowboys can beat the Dolphins, who knows? Maybe the Cowboys can start another winning streak? Especially with the Lions (as good as they are) at home, where we dominate this season, and the Commanders at the end of the season, I don't think this season is over yet. Especially since Philly seems to be floundering a bit. So, as bad as the loss to the Bills was, this division race is far from over.
Harm was done. Seattle was one likely the last remaining loss on the Eagles schedule. I think even with how they are playing, expecting the Giants to go into Lincoln Financial on Christmas day and win is a total pipe dream. And then the Cards kind suck too.

There was quite a bit of harm done. A win in Buffalo would have put Dallas in the catbird seat controlling their own destiny. Not to mention, it is a common opponent tiebreaker which also would have kept a potential tiebreaker going to strength of victory of which Philly has right now. Dallas is back at square one needing help, it was a rough loss, no need to sugarcoat it.

Well that was a gift we can't expect that every week so I hope this team realizes the opportunity they have in front of them now..... Win out and hope the Eagles make one more mistake..

Im not saying it will be easy, but, the way I saw it was that we were probably going to need one of the Giants games to end in a Philly loss as winning 9 games in a row (plus playoff games) is incredibly difficult in the NFL to do. I figured we'd probably lose one game in that stretch. So, that's why I'm not so sure it's as bad as it seems. I think we were always going to need the Seahawks to win and the Giants to take at least one of the games.

And, given the Eagles form of late, they just might. But, the Cowboys cannot afford to lose again this season.

I don't know about that I don't wanna look at gift horse in the mouth but the 49ers lost three in a row as well and now they're way back on track.... Cupcake schedule with those teams left on the Eagles schedule I'm not even counting on one loss... But the main thing is we need to handle our business we need to win out. That's it if we literally want a shot this is our second chance if this team wants to be different than they have been in the past you have to win every game which two of them are against really good teams... Now we usually don't lose back-to-back games it we haven't for quite a while once in the last four years I believe but you can't count on that this is gonna be a track me that it's gonna be the opposite of the Buffalo game equal amount of talent but they are more about speed than physicality I think maybe we match up better against speed maybe we won't be sick I mean people keep leaving that out but we had ten players having the flu we are missing some key players some key players went out during the game we had some oddball bounces and flags that dropped some that didn't it was one of those games you just wanna throw in the trash and just stop thinking about it it's time to talk about Miami....

These dudes can also run the football with two guys they're really fast they can throw the football with two guys they're really fast they're at home they're really fast I sure hope that Dan Quinn comes up with something... However I believe we match up better against Miami maybe I'll eat my words but I just believe we were built for the new age modern era passing team with speed not that it guarantees anything but I believe this is more of a better match up as they say..

You can say that about the Eagles. They got the help from the Bills but they did not capitalize against a backup QB.

Exactly, and our first task is to win the division while it's still possible. The Eagles losing to a Drew Lock-led Seahawks just flung the division race back open. While you never want to lose a game, especially in the manner that we did, it's mitigated by the fact that the Eagles lost too, and the fact that the Giants somehow still are in playoff contention. They already hate the Eagles about as much as we do, and they still have something to play for this weekend.

Right, but you never know. The Cowboys have to control what the team can control. Win out, and maybe hopefully the Giants manage to catch the Eagles while floundering in one of their two remaining games. If that happens, we are the 2nd seed. I understand what your saying, but the division race is still alive as far as I'm concerned. But, the Cowboys cannot lose anymore games.

It's pretty clear how to beat the Cowboys. Arizona did it. SF did it. Buffalo did it. Unfortunately we don't really have the pieces on defense to adjust. With that said, I still think we could go toe-to-toe with some NFC teams in the playoffs with the exception of the 49ers. Not only are they good, they have our number. I'd say our sliver of hope against SF is that Dallas just gets up for that game and plays their best football. Time will tell.

It's still a complete long shot my man I don't wanna be overconfident here but Detroit and Miami are track meets... They are right up there with us in point differentials they can put it on you real quick it just takes a bounce here or there a person slips on a coverage or you know misses a tackle in the hole and Gibbs is gone dude these dudes are fast Miami and Detroit they have dangerous offenses just like ours they also have inconsistent defense just like ours I mean these are some crazy like even matchups coming up....
