This thread is really entertaining with all the guarantees of going to the SB..Honestly Dallas is nowhere close to being a SB contender, they will have a hard enough time even winning the division..

Again with the fancy words, Mr. Fancy!
And I have NO idea what allele means, so I at am at a disadvantage, Mr. Fancy!
While we rush to the medica Wikipedia, Sir Fancy?

It is a genetic term. Basically he's saying a genetic predisposition to ligament damage, I believe. That is just remembering from college though, so I could be off.

i believe this team will go to the SB is we stay healthy. Zeke may put up Murray type numbers, but I expect Romo to have his best season ever this year.

It all depends on Dez, Witten and whomever plays the 2 WR spot. 4500 yards passing is not unreasonable if we force 7 in the box at all times. No one can stop the passing game with only 4 in coverage. They can't stop the run with 7. Pick your poison.

There are 4 key elements that almost every super bowl winner has in common.
1. Good Coaching
2. Strong/Solid QB Play
3. At least Solid Defensive Play
4. Most Key Players Remain Healthy

Only one of those things could be considered likely, one other is a complete unknown, and the final two are highly unlikely. That say no super bowl to me.

Throw my Lack of learning in college at my face, won't you. The only thing I learned was second helpings on Thursday at the cafeteria.

An allele (UK /ˈæliːl/ or US /əˈliːl/), or allel, is one of a number of alternative forms of the same gene or same genetic locus.[1][2] Sometimes, different alleles can result in different observable phenotypic traits, such as differentpigmentation. However, most genetic variations result in little or no observable variation.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allele

IOW if your genes express a particular way then you have a much higher risk of sprains and tears. It's one of the few accurate indicators out there. The rest of my point about fearmongering was ignored of course.

There's no clear upgrades at DE which is why DE was the Cowboys #1 need entering the draft. DLaw will miss the first 4 games suspended and it usually takes him half the season before he starts showing up. Opponents not having to contend with Hardy who drew some double teams last season will likely reduce DLaw's effectiveness some. Not having a viable pass rusher opposite him that opponents have to account for is going to make it difficult for him to make the kind of impact he made last season. Without Ware in 2014 DLaw didn't have a single regular season sack. As for Gregory with all the issues he's dealing with and all the games he's missing it's going to be difficult to count on him.

His development is being stunted missing games and having to battle pot addiction. Byron Jones has yet to prove himself, the jury is still out on him. As for Sean Lee the best our defense has looked in awhile was in 2014 without him. He misses games every year and our defense hasn't improved with him because of all the games he misses. All the other players you listed are average. It takes a real armchair FAN to claim in JUNE that our defense is better than it was in 2014. I'm not taking a negative view I'm taking the wait and see approach. I'm waiting until we get to camp and play at least some preseason games to make claims and come to conclusions.

Nowhere have I said the defense will suck or be terrible in 2016 but on paper it doesn't look good. The games are played on the field and it takes a few games to gage where your team is offensively and defensively. You can't come to any conclusions watching a team on a practice field in June. I'm not one of those who throws crap at the wall hoping something will stick that's the MO of a FAN and you're a FAN who thinks the team can go to the SB every year. You were only 3 years old the last time the Cowboys made it to the SB. I've seen all their SB teams and the only championship ingredient the current team has is an offense provided Romo stays healthy.

You're jumping all over the place with your argument. We are not comparing this defense to last year's we are comparing it to 2014 so why are you bringing up hardy? He wasn't here then so nothing changes there. Ware has no effect on anything either because he was already with the Broncos. Lawrence missed the whole first half of the season with a broken foot in 14 and even when he came back he wasn't a starter. George freaking selvie and Jeremy Mincey were our DE tandem so yes you can say that our DE now are already better on paper. The fact that you're trying to say our defense isn't better with a pro bowl linebacker inserted is asinine as well. DT is much better than the 14 edition and so is the secondary. On paper we look way better than what we walked into the season with in 14 and its not even close.

If Romo wasn't hurt (let alone Dez, Scandrick) they easily would have won the division last year. The rest of the east is dog doo doo.

Dallas lost three players wow..Washington and NY lost three times the amount of players that Dallas did and you still finished below every team in the division...

Is that the best you got? you can keep homering along like you always do.

Coming from a guy who's team jumps up to take a breath from the cellar once every few years only to sink right back to the bottom. You do realize you're on a Cowboys board, right, Foreskin?

Defense is not built to beat Arizona offense I think can go toe to toe

Defense is not built to stop anyone. The defense is seriously lacking playmakers. Who makes the third down strip sack, interception, or even pass breakup?
