Not everyone agrees with "Contested catches" don't count as drops. Plenty of people measure a drop as "if WR gets two hands on it, he should be able to catch it" - I believe context matters, but in this case, it wouldn't just be Cooper that is getting hit with these flaws but all WRs. It would need to be fair and I'm not about to go through every single WR film to get the accurate number based on my interpretation of a catch.

As of right now, Cooper either has 3 or 4 drops through 4 games. This is not good either way, especially since he was relatively sure handed last year.

And I said Ebron leads, he isn't tied. he went into the game with 3, he had 2 drops in the games against the Colts. He has 5 (and honestly, this is being kind to him)
Just brings to my original point - that you have to use some consistent standard to measure it - some random tweet is not a standard and neither is PFF since they have multiple reviewers!

Lol I will go with people that have trained eyes (he’s not a random tweeter, he has a job based around reviewing film)

The consistency is there - a week ago PFF had Cooper with a 15.8% drop rate, which improved to 14 this week. Again, either way, Cooper is not having a good year in terms of drops and if he keeps on the pace he’s on now, he’ll most likely be near the top of the league in terms of drops by seasons end. Needs to be fixed since he is a player that led the league twice.

This. I care most about overall production per throw going in his direction.

Man this forum turns negative fast.
Drop Stats are not reliable anyway.

There are multiple different sources for drop stats and none of them match.

Catch Rate is is not subjective.

By the way, what is the mood in Vegas about the Raiders playing there?

It's mostly Raiders fans here. We got a lot of Cali transplants in the 90's and a ton before the recession hit. They're stoked about it.

And he still put up better numbers than Cooper ever has

Not really.

Cooper better Career Yards/Target.
Cooper better Catch Rate by a big margin.

The only career stat in favor of Dez is TDs; however, Cooper in 2019 is well ahead of Dez TD rate.
Dez Career: 8.03% (1 TD per 12.45 targets)
Cooper 2019: 13.79% (1 TD per 7.25 targets)

The receiver is special. Especially after the catch Pier yeah I know he has to catch it first. My point is Nobody's Perfect. But the worst drop what's the bullet in the Miami game from Prescott. What a great throw disappointing drop

A bigger issue is he's playing hurt. You can tell.

It's backed up by PFF as well - they had 3 right now, there is a drop in the Saints game making it 4. Not sure what world we live in where 4 drops in 4 weeks is a good thing. But okay.

For comparison - Dez had 8 drops through 16 games a couple years ago and this place wanted him gone.

No, Dez defenders would post drop stats from a site that had the max that season for a WR at less than 10. It think it was your buds at PFF that had Dez at about 16 that season.

Catch Rate is always accurate.

Drop stats vary depending on the source.

Regardless a WR can not have a significant issue with drops AND have a catch rate over 70%.

How hard is that to understand?

I'm sure the lack of repetition he's getting or not getting due to his injuries have contributed to his drop rate. If I'm not mistaken his injury was diagnosed early in training camp, he's also been limited in practice, that's a lot of time to miss. I don't look for it to continue.

Zeke missed a lot of time to and he has yet to look like his old self.
He's always had drop issues.
