Posts like this are what drags this board into the sewer. Yes, lets take a 28 million dollar cap hit, all but wiping out space we are rolling over into next year.
If you just take a second to think before posting, it would help to keep this board from being utter crap.

It's a $22 mil cap hit, but, importantly, next year, the dead money would be $6 mil. Still quite a bit, but much better than the $28 mil in dead money we'd be looking at. So, it would be more doable to trade him in the 2022 offseason. We could still get a great pick. Plus, we should have Dak back next year. So, we could let him build value with Dak next season, and then try to sell.
