I remember this. 20 wasn't he?
If he wants to play let him play.
He was drafted at 19. Tyron Smith maybe who you were thinking of that was drafted as the age of 20.

A 2 year recovery time. Dec 30, 2012 was his last game.
Are you just going to take the worst possible outcome and try and make that the reality with everything. It can take that long. The doctors cleared him play today.
I am more concerned about what kind of shape is he in. What kind of training has he been doing and for how long? Has he been lifting? Running?
Hes been with the team so presumably he is in the meetings. His competition is Hayden, Bishop, Coleman, and Ojomo.
I'm certainly not going to rush his recovery to get him on a football field, excuse me for being cautious about this whole thing. This disorder requires a lot of follow-up testing and quite frankly no one should be counting on this guy to immediate suit up at this point and take someone's job.
The doctors cleared him, that good news but one step at a time and see where this goes.
I'd imagine that he's at a starting point lower than Rolando McClain.
People are already expecting Josh Brent to play at high level fresh out of a prison cell, so why not fresh out of a hospital bed?

I am just not discounting their chance to contribute out of hand. As I keep mentioning the bar for play is not 'high level.' It's Hayden, Bishop, Coleman, Rayford and Ojomo.

No they aren't.
It's a little bit different. One, you can't lift weights or realistically do calisthenics in hospital. Two, Brent has actually been our of prison and training on cardio with other former NFL players for the last month.
Okoye has been at VR all off season. I don't know how much training they have allowed him to do though.
I can only imagine how scary that had to be for him though. Blacking out and having seizures and they keep on coming on faster and faster to the point where the doctors have to put you into a coma. Coming out of that and recovering has to feel like a new lease on life.
"I just think like anything else he's been working on the side doing his conditioning, but we've got to work him back in slowly like we've done with some other guys and just monitor and see how he's doing and take it day by day," coach Jason Garrett said. "It's exciting news for us. He's a good football player when he's healthy and playing in this league. He knows our scheme. It's the reason we got him and I think our patience has paid off up to this point, so it will be fun to see him out on the practice field, see what kind of progress he can make."
As you can see from these pictures, I don't know when the Dallas photo was taken, but it's pretty obvious he's gotten much bigger, and a lot taller since he's been out. I'm expecting big things if these puppies are more or less to-scale.
