No. Was part of the now retracted report by Fisher.

That is incorrect.

He just posted this column and still says it was a 7th.

From above article, dated 4/30/2013..

1. Ranked by the Cowboys scouting department as the seventh best player in the draft.

2. Ranked by the Cowboys as the top player left on the draft board at 18.

3. One of just a handful of remaining players the Cowboys had given first-round grades.

You are going off on a silly tangent. My argument is we shouldn't have taken a TE with the 2nd pick in our draft, we should have taken a trench player. With regards to Jerry not being as foolish as I make him out to be? Well the proof is in the results or lack there of in the past 17 years. Jerry is extremely foolish and the whole world knows it minus a few die hard Cowboys fans.

LOL... You're being ridiculous.

That's a poor analysis. It would be like telling a 4-3 team they don't need a 2nd defensive tackle, because they already have one.

A team wanted to run 12 personnel rather than 21, certainly needs two tight ends. And last time I checked we drafted a center in the first round, as far as the trenches go. Not to mention draft a defensive linemen in the 3rd and 4th rounds last year.

Was Jerry foolish when we went 13-3 in 2007? Or when we won 3 super bowls in 4 years? Or beat the Saints in 2009? You're trying to use the conclusion to prove your idea about Jerry but it just doesn't mesh.

If a key player gets injured, is that Jerry's fault? If that injury derails the team, is that Jerry's fault? That's the NFL.

We're in one of the toughest divisions in football, and we've certainly struggled to have a lot of success, but there are quite a few reasons for that outside your hypothesis that Jerry sucks.

All of which is neither here nor there.

It's like somehow you trust their analysis on the player, but you don't trust their analysis and decision making towards trading down...

You can't have it both ways.

Scouts give you the analysis of a player...not whether or not you should trade down.

You can trust the scouts or the HC without trusting the Owner and GM.

So yes...You can have it both ways because it is something different.

Jerry is a huge reason our team hasn't had success in 17 years. You see, your problem is all you do is make excuses and you know that is the same thing our owner does and it is also what has lead to our mediocrity over those 17 years. You can argue and debate all you want about Jerry being wonderful, but just realize that you are in an extreme minority with your opinion.

Also, Jerry had nothing to do with our superbowls here in Dallas. We know who was responsible for those and who ran him off too. The good coaches of the league need complete control over their teams & drafts and Jerry is too much of an ego maniac to ever let that happen and that is why we get coaches who are nothing more than puppets here.
