An interesting similarity to the Giants 9-7 Super Bowl team

Can we stop with the stupid comparison??? It's like we are always just trying to replicate some other team and always trying to find a silver lining. The reality is this team and coach are just not that good. The defense couldn't fight it's way out of a wet paper bag. The offense? Well run 10 yards and turn and wait for the pass. Sorry those schemes don't win

What I find amazing as I do not see other organizations doing this.

Seriously, name one other club that feels it has to bring up other organizations' success and say that if things work out right, their own team can do that?

That is what our owner/GM does. Repeatedly. He has used New England, New York and more importantly, Baltimore like this.

Our identity just happens to be whatever the flavor of the moment.

And all that happens is we come off like cheap carbon copies that honestly lack substance. That is why when we are exposed, it happens in epic fashion.

It is hard for the players to truly understand what they are when they are pretending to be something else.

What you are seeing right now is not bad luck. Just bad football.
I know. My point wasn't that this teams' problems have to do with luck, just that the Giants got a ton of help, it wasn't all because they turned it around and played perfect football the last 6 weeks of the season or w/e

Funny thing is, we all look at their run and want desperately to chalk it up to luck. Good teams tend to make their own. We amazingly never seem to make that luck.

The 9ers handed them the game in the playoffs. Had absolutely nothing to do with them playing well.

Someone actually has the gall to post another former Super Bowl champion false analogy thread after an historic beat down? Wonder never cease.

I guess it is a coping mechanism.

I honestly don't think that we are going to go very far should we make the playoffs....are division is our only way in. But in that year the Giants traveled to New Orleans fresh off of two straight losses. The Saints proceeded to blow them out 49-24. The Giants followed it up the next week with a loss to the Packers to fall to 6-6. They then won 3 out of their next 4 and went on their super bowl run.

In the NFL strange things happen. Lets take the bye week and hopefully get some guys back like Claiborne, Wilcox, and Hatcher. Let D Ware rest the leg up even more. Maybe we get good news that Sean Lee will only miss 3-4 weeks instead of the rest of the season and then lets see where it goes.

If we win against the Giants and are sitting at 6-5 it may not look the best but we would be 4-0 in the division. Offensively lets hope we get something out of the money we are paying Miles Austin and maybe Garrett takes more control of the offense because clearly the Callahan experiment is not working.

I am ready now for all the flaming of how we are nothing like that Giant team etc....We may not be but we can cross the bridge of blowing the team up when we come to it. As for right now we still have a chance to make the playoffs and I will hold out that hope.

And Jerruh is THANKFUL that he still has fans that think like this so he can continue to make $$$...

This whole mentality of squeak into the playoffs and maybe we have a chance is loser talk. Jerry Jones is a loser.

That Giant team had a competent front office and coaching staff. That's the difference my friend

Jerry has no professional football experience or qualifications to tap into, so he is forced to imitate other teams or attempt to replicate the success of his prior coaches. Problem is, he is also unqualified to even replicate what other teams / prior coaches have done, so you end up with this reactionary hybrid inconsistent approach year-in, year-out.

Jerry relies on his good old boy network to make decisions....any real GM would have never brought in kiffin and changed the scheme. What other organization does not allow its HC to choose his own staff. This FO is dysfunctional... unless we the stars all align we may never see a SB under this regime.

You must of not watched the game last night or like the rest of the world turned it off due to the embarrassment......the Cowboys are the laughing stock of the NFL.....from salary cap to talent to game planning......braking all the bottom feeding records they can find....,,,again..the bar is so low now it's just unreal.....it wasn't this bad in the 5-11 Dave Campo years.....you knew the team had no talent then.........but this team has talent......but just a royal mess from the front office to the HC to the players......it's jacked up and needs blown up and started fresh....

Think about the records Jason Garrett Cowboys have shattered.......lowest of the low in almost all cat agonies........is this the Dallas Cowboys we expect or want
