Lost in the layers of stories last week was a very disturbing reality against Philadelphia.

And I think it played a big part in Dallas losing the game.

Brandon Graham flat owned Tyron Smith. I mean, he beat him virtually every single time. Every time there was a big play coming, they'd throw Graham over there, and he'd go around Tyron like a traffic cone.

For all his great attributes, Tyron has games like this against certain players. I sometimes wonder if he isn't the RIGHT TACKLE on this team, and that another left tackle should be brought in.

He's been really good all year. He was only okay this last game and got beat a couple times. I know Bryan Broaddus isn't super popular around here, but here's what he said about Tyron last game:

There are times when watching the game on television puts imagines in your mind that a player really wasn’t at his best. This is true when you look at the game Tyron Smith played. With offensive linemen I always try and encourage you to evaluate their games not in one or two plays but the 65-to-70 snaps they play a game. If you see an offensive tackle struggling throughout a game -- say on five-to-eight plays – then feel free to go with that opinion. Against the Eagles, Smith had two bad snaps that were negative plays, but if you evaluate his overall body of work – he did not grade that poorly.

He did struggle against Graham but my take away on it wasn't so much Smith as why we don't have a Brandon Graham like linebacker who is that athletic and an edge rusher. I love Sean Lee but he's not that kind of player nor is McClain, nor is Hitchens. Also when Lee went out Sunday we got absolutely gashed in the run game to the outside.

My point being his body of work is very good. if you're a better tackle than Smith on the left side you're hell of a player and that's not what we'll be looking for in the draft for a few years but linebacker is becoming a priority.

He beat him on two snaps by slapping Smith's hands effectively. Smith remains a secure blind side protector and wonderful run blocker for likely the next 5-8 years. In fact, I was so stunned by the 2nd sack by Graham that I watched Smith exclusively after that on pass plays and I don't remember him losing 1 time.

I saw him get beat twice (which I agree should not have happened), other than that I have no idea what game you were watching. Furthermore, 27 points should have won the game. Defense didnt get stops when they needed to.

We have many chronic issues on this team...T. Smith is not on my list of these issues.

That being said, the Oline is better at run blocking than pass blocking-same was true last year nut masked by Romo being mobile.

Our problems with the Eagles DL and their pass rush is known. With our "new" OL players we always had problems with it.

Smith didnt look good in pass protection, but that was no noname player he played against.
But to call for another LT is just a joke: Have you looked at Smiths runblocking performance ? You should because he was great that day.

Our OL is not very good in pass blocking. That was their problem from the beginning. But they get better every year. This year they are much improved to 2014 IMO. And i like what i see even if some may say their runblocking is a bit down from 2014.

To have problems against some defensive fronts like the Eagles is "maybe"(!) a sign that their front is very good - plain and simple. Have you ever considered this ?

LOL, take a look at some of the running plays. Graham couldn't get out of Tyron's way quick enough.

Tyron will study his tape. You will never see that LB getting the best of Tyron again.

Dude seriously?

The hyperbole of Tyron getting beat virtually every time to the next thing of moving him to right tackle.

I hope for your sake you are being sarcastic and trolling because it is FAR better than the other reason you posted it.

virtually every time :) haha, you my friend are just like the children that point out every time Romo misses an open receiver, which happens with every QB.. He could go 25/31 with 3 TD's, but hey I'm gonna hold on to those 2 or 3 incompletions.

 WHAT???? that is one of the most asinine statement I have read in a while how often in a season do u see Tyron get beat??? now compare that to the other LT in the league... I don't agree with that statement at all whatsoever 1 game bruh is he giving up a sack per game come on now... he just need to make adjustments he wasn't doing that the 1st game against eagles I don't think... adjustments man

This is one of those times that it's nice to have the all-22 available to make it clear what happened, one way or another.

I remember Hardy beating NE's left tackle pretty cleanly twice and pile driving Brady once. He's currently leading the Pro Bowl voting for LT's
