Yeah, alot of jerk sites do that for stealing bandwidth. Sometimes the OP can't see anything other than what he intended, because his temp files aren't cleared or something.

lord of all that's generic - i edited it simply because i was seeing the lloyd duck pic and everyone else was seeing something VASTLY different. till a few people commented i had NO idea the pic was NOT lloyd and when i started to understand that, i edited the post to remove the pic.

why don't you just chill out with your boot talk and go about your business of citing irrelevant stats?

Sites will do that if you try to link a pic on their website, because when you link it, it pulls from their bandwidth. It's a jerk move by these sites, most just put a nasty message.

the pic i saw was the one i was after. i can only assume that once i saw it the "path" on my local machines (cache) was the correct pic, so it would pull that unless i emptied it and reloaded from scratch.

so when i found the pic and posted the link back to it, what the site will do is see a "linkback" and simply swap it out with other pics. since my browser checks locally for the pic first, it found it, so i saw the "real" pic i meant to post. everyone else saw the replaced pic. (to my amazement and total embarassment)

the site will replace it with "gross" and inappropriate pics simply so it will get deleted soon and not take up their bandwidth. seems to work but it sure had me fooled for a bit as to what people were talking about.
