And this is why we need a new QB

I read a tweet yesterday that they had the QBs practice rolling out and throwing on the run. Dak looked terrible. The passes were wobbly and innacurate.

Lovely.

How on earth can a guy miss this throw???? Like I've been saying...they guy literally couldn't hit water from a boat. No pressure what so ever....and he misses Pollard by 5 yards. Just inexcusable. And definately not worth 30 million.

Did you watch the chiefs Patriots playoff game last season. Mahomes missed the same pass 3 times,

look like another of Dak's adrenaline over throws. IMO, it ain't mechanics or throwing angles.
Kind of weird. He does it about 1 of 5 going deep outside. he'll gun a deep crossing pattern too

training camp is where technique timing and trust get worked out, we hope

what stood out to me is Pollard's speed - short & mid range, he had Jaylon beat bad at 10y, he got up field fast
I've seen Jaylon man up on some good SWRs (like Cobb) and not get beat that quick in a foot race

But, Pollard doesn't have killer deep speed - I'd guess his 20-40y split is 1.85' or more (about like Dez or TWill in stride)
compare vs Austin 1.78, vs Coop at 1.80', Gallup 1.81'

Flat footed over throws and inability to throw floaters are Dak's flaws. But we can still win it all with him if our defense shows up in the playoffs.

Floaty worships Mahomes. He'll never criticize Mahomes. But when it comes to Dak, he thrives on any opportunity to bash him. Does that sound like a Cowboys fan?

Dak isn't going anywhere. He is the QB of this team yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Learn it
Love it
Live it

If not, you're gonna be one miserable #*+

He's out of contract at the end of this season, so as things stand right now, he's gone in a few months.

Dak will be signing his new contract extension sometime this month, and we'll be stuck hearing you Dak haters complain for the next 6+ years. Ugh.

Why do you describe people who are critical of Dak as "haters"?

I don't hate Dak or any other player. In fact I admire that he has maximised his talent and seems to be a hard worker - what's not to like about this?

But, I am a Cowboys fan, as opposed to someone who follows individual players. I want what's best for the team and, as nice a guy that Dak is, I think we need to upgrade the position.

P.S. until such time as a contract extension is signed (or not) he is officially a FA in the new year. This is the factual position.

Ok. What do you prefer? Critic? Doubter? Unbeliever?

There are incomplete passes that can be explained...then there is this. This is just unacceptable. High school QBs make that throw. Not miss it by 5 yards. Good grief...o_O

Maybe it was just a bad pass drill. Or a bird pooped on it and knocked it off its path.
Or some type of weird California thing.

Nothing to worry about. Those things happen, so get it out of the way in TC and not in a real game.
All will be fine.

I look forward to another season of watching Michael Gallup running wide open down the field begging for his bum QB to just get it anywhere near his vicinity.
Why would you be looking forward to something like that. I'm looking forward to Improvement constantly. Initially I thought it was sarcasm but no it's your consistency that says it isn't

Ignore the bad pass, that's expected. What should not be happening at this point is Dak waiting for the receiver to be fully cleared of any defender before the ball comes out. He's still waiting 2 seconds after the receiver is open to actually throw the ball...and it's even worse because Dak already knows what's going to happen with no pressure from the defense.

Those three yard outs are dynamic.
