And this is why we need a new QB

Sorry to break the news to you but he hasn't looked good the last 2 seasons.....Major regression since his rookie year!

Making the pro bowl a second time is not a sign of "major regression".

Shouting it isn't going to make your fantasy any more true.

I’ve seen Kirk cousins look like he doesn’t belong in the Nfl

I’ve seen Peyton Manning get benched for Brock osweiler

And yet the Vikings paid Cousins...and look @ how much crap and regret they have now...You want the Cowboys to go down that path? I don't...

Lol!!! Did your eagles season tickets come in yet?
Why? Are you wanting to buy some? My Cowboys season tickets have arrived and I don't think I'll be going to the eagles game.

This guy is a Super fan!

We may (or may not) eventually find out we do need another QB, but one video of one throw doesn't prove that. It's laughable to suggest other QBs, even the best ever, never missed an open receiver.

But it's not just one throw....he has a history of doing this. This is just more confirmation... he is what he is...and he has peaked.

Many professional sport athletes are not great practice players but are great performers in game. I remember seeing a HOF player lose a game of H-O-R-S-E to a random basketball player where no tricks were involved.

Dak has missed that throw in regular games but who hasn't. Also, this is TC, this is the time where you work on your weaknesses to become a complete player before the regular season begin.
He’s been missing these throws in practice and games since high school. I hope it does get fixed but it’s very unlikely.

Did you see Pat Mahomes do the exact same thing (to an even more wide open RB) in the AFC champ game? Then take a sack on the next play putting them out of FG range?
Please don’t compare Mahomes to Dak. It’s embarrassing!

Well, he's got an exaggerated and overblown history of it with internet posters pushing an agenda ...

He didn't compare them, he merely pointed out that its ridiculous to act as if other QBs never miss a throw.

I'm also guessing he wasn't embarrassed. lol

What's worse?...thinking Kellen could play in the NFL....(His last game throwing for 435 and 3tds)...or putting stock in the pro bowl...

Inquiring minds want to know....

I'll reply in this thread...

The throw in practice to Pollard was a bad throw. No excuses for Dak on that.

Dak did miss Gallup during the season;
- however, on some of those Gallup did things other than just run a straight go route without delay.
- Gallup had a tendency to stutter step mid-route attempting to get the CB to bite-up.
- On others he made lateral moves which also slowed him down relative to a straight go route.

I saw Zack Martin have trouble with an open field block on Vander Esch.
- Vander Esch is a freak and all RBs are going to have some issues blocking him.
- Dak got the pass off despite Vander Esch blowing up Pollard.
- Pollard blocked often in college.
- His blocks were often ugly but he got the job done.

Realistically, the job of picking up a blitz is not to stonewall the blitzer. The job is to delay the blitz long enough to get the ball off or escape the pocket. Pollard did neither and if it were a real game and not a scrimmage, Dak would not have gotten that ball off. He would have been on his back. Pollard absolutely did not get the job done. We can not be referring to the same play here. BB actually broke it down a few days ago on his review.

This is practice with no pressure...I imagine in a game....It's either gonna be 10 yards over thrown or 5 yards under thrown...there is just no explaining why he is missing so bad.
Exactly, this is practice, working on timing 5 days into camp. Mahomes missed a receiver he had been playing with all season who was 5 yards behind the db!

How? What evidence is there that he would be one iota better than Dak?

Teddy Bridgewater was a checkdown artist to the point it makes Dak look like Johnny Unitas lmao

And that was before his knee exploded so badly he could have died.

I don't believe the final grades are in on Dak yet either. I think this year is the year he has to show what he can actually do and we should wait for that script to play out but I don't think we should come to any hard and fast decision just yet. However, being named, not getting voted in, to the Pro Bowl is not really proof that he has had a good season. The Pro Bowl itself is not really an indicator either because players from big market teams have advantage. You get guys in who probably are not the best at their positions but the most popular. Make an All Pro team and then you have something. At least, that's my opinion.

There's no explaining because you aren't in full possession of the facts.

Obviously you weren't around during the draft when he came out....I thought Mahomes was gonna be a turnover machine with his poor decision making. Still do actually..now that teams have tape on him. If you watch KC...He makes some wild throws that you just don't teach....and he's been getting away with it. Not gonna shock me @ all when teams pick up on his tendancies...and he starts turning the ball over.
That would be great if teams pick up on his tendencies. Apologies for mislabeling you.
