I think it was interesting that Sammy Watkins chose KC over DAL. He had to know he'd be numero uno here as the rumors were already out there about Bryant. He had to contend with Tyreek Hill there but chose them over DAL with an unknown QB taking over.

Watkins signed in KC because they gave him more money with more of it guaranteed, just like every NFL FA has done since the dawn of time.

"Grain of salt huh" Jason Garrett is 4-5 after a bye week. seems 2 weeks is enough time to prepare.

Not if you spend your time in Los Angeles taking in the World Series. Most coaches use the bye to prepare for their opponent the following week and the team the week after that instead of making a spectacle of themselves at a sporting event.

Really bad on part of the players. If they were really that badly coached, how come they were successful in 2014, 2016 (with rookies).

Best OL and running the ball down people's throats. Has nothing to do with coaching. This year the OL is mediocre and the running game is weak.

Some of our former coaches are having success elsewhere. Hate these anonymous reports. I view them as mostly false with a sliver of truth.

And if they do go on the record then they are disgruntled former Cowboys.

In addition to the money, players know their opportunity to win championships is short, you will lean toward the teams that are "in the hunt" the last few years....

Chiefs are 11-5, 12-4 and 10-6 the three years before this one. In the playoffs all 3 years. Dallas was 4-12, 13-3 and 9-7. ONE playoff game. In addition to the money, players know their opportunity to win championships is short, you will lean toward the teams that are "in the hunt" the last few years....

I'm sure a lot of factors go into it, but you can look at every FA contract of the last 10 years and 99% of the time the player goes to the highest offer.

Also the 4 - 12 season was because Romo was hurt, that was eternity ago. KC and Dallas were 10-6 and 9-7 last year, Watkins wasn't signing with the 93 Cowboys or 2014 Patriots.

A couple playoff seasons out of eight years does not make you one of the top coaches in the league. It doesn’t even make you average. Rich Kotite had playoff years.
