Anonymous Dallas assistant coach says our WRs don’t win

True, not all but, Dak is a marginal QB at best and has a very limited set of QB skills. His decision processing ability and
passing mechanics is very problematic. He's only a backup QB at best. Hard to build a winner with those limitations.
Strictly your opinion. Thankfully, the professionals don't think this way.

Just hit dak a couple times late and take the penalty. He will hear footsteps the rest of the game. If he almost gets back to playing average, hit him again. His fear will eat him alive.

Guys/Gals, for better or for worse, the end is near. Assistant coaches talking like that can be seen as Rome(not that we were great or anything but Jerry's view of Jason) starting to burn. The only thing is, who is playing Nero?

Maybe they are true, but we already knew this group aren't pro bowlers. So blaming them for not being ab or Julio is dumb. Your boy isn't good enough to help make a wr make a play, they have to make a play inspite of him.

Nobody is blaming them for not being AB or Julio. So I’m not sure why you’re calling that dumb, considering nobody is doing that.

There are plenty of receivers all over the league who make plays. It happens every Sunday.

This thread isn’t about “my boy”. It’s about whether the receivers are good enough or not. Blaming the QB for their inability to make contested catches or break tackles and get some YAC is what’s dumb.

I have already said I am perfectly fine with replacing Dak. But putting a rookie QB with these trash receivers isn’t a good idea for their development.

Dak obviously has some accuracy issues, but I am seeing opposing WR's making tough catches from inaccurate throws all the time on other teams. A lot of Hopkins catches last week were not perfect passes by any means.

It seems our WRs can only catch the perfect pass. The catch radius of our WRs is very very small.
There is a difference between an occasional off target throw, and consistent inaccuracies. When you don't have confidence in your QB to deliver on a somewhat consistent basis, how can you have confidence in your route?

That's what is so puzzling about the decision of the FO to roll with these receivers. They had to know rust Dak had accuracy issues and needs WR with a large catch radius and great hands for this passing game to work, yet they chose not to address it and had the audacity to act as if we still have Romo back there singing it.

I suspect the FO got so used to Romo making average at best WR look like #1/#2 that they really believed WR are plug and play and they could just add anybody to the mix. I also blame the HC/OC for this cluster... they know what they have at QB, and they should have demanded more from the FO to address this position.

Us fans predicted that this would be a 'problem' on the first day of training camp. If I had a dollar for every time I read the comment, 'This team will only go as far as this WR corp will take them, which won't be far', I'd be having me one heck of a party. If Joe Blow the Cowboy fan saw this coming, what does it say about this organization from top to bottom? Initially, I bought into the plan to reduce this team's debt, in hopes of being able to upgrade these 'key' positions in the near future. They finally had the cash to go out and IMPROVE on a group that they deemed as lacking but chose not to. Either they really are as clueless as most people say or they have abandoned the desire to win another Lombardi Trophy and are now 100% committed to increasing their net worth and padding their wallets.

This is not a Cowboys fan. When one starts demanding your starting QB get hit illegally and late, and then continually hit illegally.

This is how a coach loses a team.

First the win/loss record.
Then the sniping of players in the media.
The WRs are not winning. Individual WRs saying We ARE getting open.

It's just the start and if the losing continues it will continue.

This is not some Diva Player situation like with Dez over the years. Spouting off because they are not getting the ball or a TO and so on.

This is coaches talking to the media. This is WRs (more than one) saying they are getting open and are not getting the ball.

For years when someone says that Garrett is losing the team I would argue that I had seen no signs of it. No signs of them quitting on the field like they did with Wade.
No signs other than a diva WR Like TO or Dez complaining on the sidelines or in the media.

However different WRs are complaining to the media now. Now we got a coach saying otherwise but not putting his name on it.

If they continue to lose, this HC is going to lose this team. At the very least the OC will lose the offensive players faith.

And if Dak continues to get hit he will get tired of the coaches, media and players going after him as well.
Nice point , we have the receivers (2 at least) saying they get open but do not see the ball, now a anonymous coach who says the WR's are the fault, the cracks are starting, wonder if its the QB coach. again good point.

I understand that you want to convey the point that Dak needs to be more accurate. And that’s true. Dak isn’t throwing the ball well enough.

However, the receivers are also garbage. It’s possible for both things to be true.

It’s not just the QB. It’s not just the receivers. It’s both. Which is why the pass game is so terrible.

I agree. Mix in a crappy OC and crappy offensive scheme and we have a cocktail full of bull****. The perfect storm for a horrendous offense.

who's demanding? This is the simplest game plan ever. Pressure shaky and watch him self destruct. Like always.

Professionals don't think Dak is a franchise QB. He wasn't a midround pick cause he was covered, those pro's didn't think he was worth it. He did over perform year 1 but now ba

Hard to break tackles when a wr has to come to a full stop and wait for the ball. Dak is what makes these balls contested. Bad placement, late throws, DB's have way too much time to react to what Dak is doing. Doesn't matter how good a wr is a QB has to do a better job of getting them the ball or the results are the same. You want yac, hit them in stride, unfortunately he barely able to hit Zeke in the flat consistently.

QB isn't playing well, the receivers suck, and the line is no longer great.
Everyone sucks on offense, outside of Zeke, and it shows in the stats and the standings.

Troy Aikman is a professional and he thinks it. Defensive coaches around the league are licking their lips at the chance to get a piece of Dak.
You must be joking and if not, take a powder.
Troy was terrible his last 4 years without Irvin, Harper, Novacek and the great Oline. How quickly he and everyone else forgets.
