Dallas Cowboys

“I don’t recall seeing a college quarterback improve his passing more in a short period of time than Dak Prescott. His spirals were cleaner, and when people were open, he put the football on them.”

“Heading into 2017 though, his world has changed, because of the impossibly high expectations, no more Tony Romo in the quarterback room and opponent defensive coordinators having an offseason to break down his game.”

“What hasn’t changed is that the Cowboys still have the best offensive line in the league paired off with arguably the most talented workhorse running back in Ezekiel Elliott. Elliott raced to 1,631 yards and 15 touchdowns to codify the Cowboys’ master plan of taking some pressure off the QB and their defense.”

“With three former first-round picks up front, Dallas only has to sort out where La’el Collins fits as a left guard or right tackle after Ronald Leary was lost in free agency and Doug Free retired.”

“All the focus in the draft went to defense, where they lean on coordinator Rod Marinelli to pull it all together.”

“Across the league, defensive end Taco Charlton, cornerback Chidobe Awuzie and cornerback Jourdan Lewis were all seen as second-round picks, with Taco being a reach and Lewis deemed a value.”

“Almost their entire secondary walked in free agency, so the two rookies will have to play.

“The Cowboys should be good, but a tougher schedule, sophomore slumps and the weight of expectations will likely keep them from reaching 13 wins again.”

The Giants scare me the most, very good defense and their offensive firepower has increased considerably from last year. Their weakness will be their OL and let's see if Eli starts a further tumble from last year. Would hate to see them make another run.

This seems to be in line with what a majority of the board seems to be saying too.

Really hoping ODB causes some turmoil in that locker room because that's the only way I see them not improving from last season.

I think the Giants are going to really miss Johnathan Hankins clogging things up in the middle of their defensive line. He was a run stopping beast that won't be easily replaced.

For the last line I would rather win 11 games in September-December and 4 in January than 13 and 1

I think they are gonna fall off from Eli he is getting worse every year, and I really think he shows his age this year also that o-line is terrible.

Plus they need a proven running game. I like Perkins somewhat, but he doesn't scare me.

This for sure. However all our division foes have gotten (what looks like) a lot of help from the draft and FA this year. I'm thinking every game will be a nail biter.

Can't argue against or for anything in the article. Pretty mich in line with what has been said already.
NY stil the biggest threat, mainly becasie of their D. Not really afraid of their O as much unless they get a running game going. Then the passing game will be very tough. However, it goes as far as Eli can take them. And he has been in decline.

Philly will be better only if the new WR's hang on to the ball, and they should, but overall they won't be that much better.

Washington, well, they seem to be up and down year to year more so than a yo-yo. So what team shows up this year.

Dallas, depends on how fast all the new players on D can get it together. The O can be fantastic in spite of all this sophomore slump BS, and they have a year of film BS....well we have a year of film on them too.

most people love ignoring the coaching or analyzing the coaching. Everyone knows McAdoo out coached Garrett and had his team sweep the Cowboys. The cowboys problem isnt always the team. Again, I expect the Giants to out coach the Cowboys and than Garrett find fault with the team.
