I believe he is suspended until further notice. The appeals hearing is to determine if the suspension and amount of games is justified. They cannot file court papers until the a decision has been made. So I would think if they take awhile to announce their decision then Zeke could miss games regardless.

No, you play until the appeals process is finished. They cannot suspend him for 6 games and then hold off making a decision on the appeal until after he has already had to sit out games. They can file court papers at anytime if they want to but a judge would likely deny any action they asked for until they have exhausted all avenues within the CBA. That will be once Henderson makes his ruling. If he takes his time, Zeke will play until he makes a ruling.

If they file quick they can get an court injunction within 24 hours. I think the wheels are in motion for that injunction to happen. So Zeke might be able to play the first game.
Will it be like Brady where the NFL attempt to file in the city/jurisdiciton (ie judge) of their choice.........vrs the judge in Minn. that has stayed NFL orders in the past........

Problem is, the NFL knows to the second when their appeal is released...natural head start on running to a court house after the appeal results.

You are wrong about this. Players can play during the appeal process.

Of course the NFL will try this but Kessler should not be caught off guard this time. He can file before Henderson rules on the basis that it was a sham appeal process and ask a judge to accept and keep the case open until a ruling is made.

I think it stands and they are lock-step on it.
I absolutely don't agree with this, but I see it and I think it's happening.

6 games. Learn your lesson Zeke. Time to grow up. I feel you- I've been there and I'm still paying. Stop losing what you have no reason to lose.
Amen. Thats how the owners are seeing it.

Regardless of how this benefits Zeke personally, this is a case that has to happen. This is bigger than Zeke now.

I thought they had to make a ruling before the first game? Or he keeps playing until they decide on the appeal.

You can't expect this poor unfortunate victim to have to show up and face the man she's accusing. We should just take her word for it and move on. Maybe come up with some cool pink designs for October. #HerTruth
