10 "business" days, which puts it at exactly the 29th of August. Whether that means they have to schedule or hear the appeal, I don't know. Personally, they've slow-played this along a time-line that really crunches the hell out of Zeke's ability to file an appeal and then further take it to the courts. The timing was key. Conveniently, some detractors will state, "Well, they wouldn't send down a verdict a week or two before Jerry's HOF induction.". BS! They should've served him with a suspension months ago. They slow-played this for a reason. They want it to stick and they want him to serve it this season. Mark my words, they'll start his appeal review on the 29th of August and sometime between the 5th-7th of September (my bet is late day on the 6th) they'll wrap it up with a small reduction in the suspension. That'll give him just 2 business days to get an injunction (unlikely to acquire in that time-frame) before the first game of the season that weekend against bird-beak's team.
Am I the only one that thought waiting until August for a league response was dubious?
