You can't expect this poor unfortunate victim to have to show up and face the man she's accusing. We should just take her word for it and move on. Maybe come up with some cool pink designs for October. #HerTruth
Agreed. This has little to do with real life perception. The league sees it differently from the courts or Cowboy fans.

Thank God they aren't allowing the notes to enter the appeal. What a travesty of justice it would be to be allowed to address the actual testimony your suspension was based upon.

Law enforcement agencies across the U.S. should all turn to Goodell since he obviously knows more about when charges should be filed than the entities that make a living doing this do.

Goodell is like Judge Roy Bean....judge, jury, and executioner.
I want that job!! The Eagles would need a new team every yr. Hang em and hang em high!!!

Have no idea why some draw the parallel of Zeke to Brady's situation. Brady's case was about cheating and jeopardizing the integrity of the game, something the court really has no say in.

Zeke has been labeled a woman beater by an NFL internal investigation with questionable at best evidence. They have no business conducting their own criminal investigation when the outside courts didn't even find enough to charge him with anything.

Two completely different issues.

lol, well the eagles pretty much DO get a new team every year through FA.......it's hard to get any cohesiveness within the team with they churn about 40% of their team every year trying to build their "dream team".

They can't give lawyers access to their lack of real evidence, conflicting evidence, and bias opinions made by all the victim rights people they hired to make decisions for them. Any decent lawyer with 24 hours of access to their investigation notes would rip them a new one within 20 minutes in the appeal hearing. All they get is a woman who will state over and over she thinks he did it and that's that.

There is no timetable for the NFL to rule on the appeal's hearing. How many think the decision is announced after the Giants game?
This is what I posted a while back about the convenient timing in all of this:

10 "business" days, which puts it at exactly the 29th of August. Whether that means they have to schedule or hear the appeal, I don't know. Personally, they've slow-played this along a time-line that really crunches the hell out of Zeke's ability to file an appeal and then further take it to the courts. The timing was key. Conveniently, some detractors will state, "Well, they wouldn't send down a verdict a week or two before Jerry's HOF induction.". BS! They should've served him with a suspension months ago. They slow-played this for a reason. They want it to stick and they want him to serve it this season. Mark my words, they'll start his appeal review on the 29th of August and sometime between the 5th-7th of September (my bet is late day on the 6th) they'll wrap it up with a small reduction in the suspension. That'll give him just 2 business days to get an injunction (unlikely to acquire in that time-frame) before the first game of the season that weekend against bird-beak's team.

Am I the only one that thought waiting until August for a league response was dubious?

The facts of the cases aren't at issue in a court case. It's the process and how the league made its decision that is the basis of the lawsuits. Zeke may have additional arguements if he wishes to go down the path of claiming racism, civil rights, bias, collusion, or disparate treatment. It will be interesting.

Can't do it, man. This is about protecting women. If they say it happened, it happened. Regardless of evidence.

It seems completely normal to suspend the player on her word despite the evidence, then not allow any of her testimony be part of an appeal.

This is true equality. We've finally accomplished it.

Well given he lost the QB job in Cleveland to Kizer, Kessler does need a new gig.
