I think they'll trade him sometime between now and next year so that they actually get something for him.

I dont...they think they can make a playoff run this yr, and they are probably right considering how average Seattle is and how lousy SF and St Louis are

they dont have to do anything with him now, can slap the tag on him when he does become a f/a and then trade him if they wish

Why all this love for Boldin all of a sudden?

Look at all the previous Super Bowl winners, the Giants and Steelers in particular-both had good to very good offenses, but it wasn't like they were FF material either. But how did they do it all? Quite simple-Defense AND Offensive Line were the BIG keys.

Really, if we want to make a Super Bowl run this year, first and foremost, we need...

1) Our OL to run block ALOT better than it did last year.

2) Our RBs need to do a more consistent job finding the holes and moving the chains.

3) Our defense needs to create QB pressure more and our secondary needs to play alot better.

So if our these 3 things continue to be our weaknesses this year, then we can have TO, Randy, Fitzgerald, AND Boldin, and the results will still be the same.

Look at the Pats last year-one heck of a WR core...but their OL stunk royally, and their vanilla defense wasn't any better.

Having signed the extention, the guy has no leverage. He won't come here, he will sit on the bench.

Bolden has T.O. II written all over him.

Get it done, Jerry.

This whole idea of looking at the Pats losing the SUperbowl so we shouldn't imitate them in trying to rack up on offense, especially as it concerns getting a big-time WR like Boldin IS ABSURD... The Giants simply had the game of their life and had plenty of breaks going their way to win that game... COnsider the final drive... 9 times out of 10, the Pats play the Giants, and the Pats win and score big....

I hear yea, missed INT. by Samuels, Eli gets in trouble (almost sacked), and then to throw a alley-oop to the center of the field only to have it caught with a large amount of stickem on the guy's helmet and hand. If that ball was any closer to the ground, it would have been set perfectly for a field goal attempt. Fricken unreal !! :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

I know, the whole spilled milk thing. It's just hard to believe the opportunity that we blew. We need to learn from it and don't repeat ourselves.

We just need the real champs to stand up now.

Alright BOYS, lets play ball.

FYI-on that miracle catch by Tyree-if you watch the replay again, he was ACTUALLY SAMUEL's responsibility(even Peter King alluded to it). He just gave up on that play. Otherwise, he would have been in position to knock the pass away.

BTW-doesn't anyone else find it funny how Philly paid $$$$ to yet another chock-artist?:laugh1:

I am a very big fan of strong OL and DL play. Having said that, every team in the league understands that if TO is lost to us, our offense is seriously compramised in it's ability to score points. Given TOs recent history, I think your asking for trouble by not taking every opportunity to try and improve that position. While I understand the reasoning behind a strong defense, the fact of the matter is that if we lost Henry and or Ellis for the season, we would still have a very good chance of playing strong defense without them. Conversly, if we lost TO, you may as well mail it in. I do not believe that we could beat the stronger teams in our division without a downfield receiving threat. Of course, all of this is just my opinion.

I don't necessarily agree. With a stronger defense, especially the secondary, a better running game and Romo's ability to scramble and improvise, we should still be competitive.

Definitely lower scoring games and much more of a dog fight on our hands. Still I see a winning season.

Without TO in the line-up, we scored exactly 0 TD's in 6 quarters of play.

TO and TO II are vital.

Boldin denied reports that his agent had asked the Cardinals to trade him, but when he was asked if he would prefer a trade now, he said, "Honestly, I don't know right now. I can't answer that." If he isn't traded, Boldin insisted he could put aside his anger toward the front office and play the game as he always has. "I'm going to do everything my contract requires me to do," he said. "If I'm supposed to be here, I'll be here. I'll outwork anybody on this field. I'm going to show up and be on time. I mean, I'm going to perform like Anquan. I don't know other way." Whisenhunt played down any impact of the disgruntled team leader letting his feelings be known the day before practice starts. "I think the reason Anquan was a leader (last year) is because the way he plays, the way he works. I don't think that's going to change," Whisenhunt said. "When you talk about professionals, Anquan to me is one of the ultimate professionals. He's going to show up and give you everything he's got, and I don't see that changing."

Do you guys suffer from reading comprehension. He has 3 years left and said he would play out his contract but he was done renegotiating for a new deal.

How does that mean he could be had by the cowboys. The Cards have a great WR for 3 more years at a great price. Why would they trade him?

Same reason the giants traded shockey.

you dont want a team leader on your roster who is disgruntled and wants out.
