Remeber this article for what it is worth:

The broader question is whether the Cardinals will keep him. The Ken Whisenhunt offense isn’t premised on a high-powered passing game, so paying a huge amount of money to two wideouts doesn’t make much sense, especially with so many other needs on the roster. There’s still a chance, then, that the Cardinals will ship Boldin to another team. Primary candidates, as we see it, are the Cowboys and the Eagles.

Oh, the Eagles are going to be tough competition. I'm sure they realize the error of their ways when they gave up Owens and they'll be bound and determined to not let it happen again.

And they've got a certain guy named Shaun Andrews who is not happy -- I have a feeling Ken Whisenhunt would like him some Shaun Andrews. As I said, we're going to have to give up a lot to get this guy, but I think he's worth it.

why would it be a one.

Jason taylor and jeremy shockey were just traded for 2's. This time of year draft picks are not valued as much.

I dont like giving up picks, especially 1's or 2's but shockey at tight end is about the same quality as boldin at wr.

at some point a 2 and a late pick might do it.

You are delusional, and that's all there is to it.

LOL. Yeah, and those 3 egos at WR together just wouldn't mesh even if it were possible to get them and fit their salaries under the cap.

That's another reason I love Boldin, he doesn't have an ego, just a lot of competitive fire and toughness.

Put something together Jerry, do it now!! Ellis, Carpenter and Roy Williams for Boldin. Maybe a #3 or something too.

Boldin will be expensive, both trade-wise and new contract-wise. He'll be worth it IMO.
WHA??!?!?!

I thought Ellis was more valuable (relatively speaking of course) than Roy Williams (Det.)?? So it would take Ellis, Carp, our RW, AND maybe a 3rd to get Boldin?? Man, Boldin must be the shazzle.

You should know not to compare Taylor to Boldin based on his age alone. And elite TE's do not hold the same worth as elite receivers. Dallas Clark is the highest paid TE in the NFL and he only avearges 4.5 mil a year.

really. Can you read.

I said at some point the 2 might be enough. Or it at least might be a starting point.

You realize jeremy shockey was traded for a 2 right?

Shockey and boldin both have injury issues and both are pro bowl players.

Now if other teams start offering up pro bowl players for him then sure, the picks wont be enough. If your a gm right now and want boldin why on earth would you offer a player.

The only team I can see offering a player and a pick right now is philly. they need to move sheppard and need a wr.

I was just throwing taylor out there, obviously he would have nothing to do with that.

Tight ends make less money sure, but boldin and shockey are not that much different.

Hey, Deion branch cost seattle two 1's. So anything can happen.

i am simply saying if i was a gm I would try and work things out around something similar to shockeys deal.

I would think about Roy Williams for Ellis straight up, I would turn down Ellis and Henry for RW. That puts us way too close to relying on Pacman Jones, and that's never good.

As I said, there is going to be a feeding frenzy for Boldin. Shaun Andrews is holding out -- Whisenhunt came from a Steelers team that likes physical play from its interior linemen. Connect the dots. The Eagles are going to be willing to give up a lot.

Oh, and he is the shazzle. RW, on the other hand, is flying monkey poo.

No, I know that Shockey was traded for a 2nd and 5th, which could turn into a 1st. And comparing Shockey to Boldin is just laughable. Read the rest of my stuff and you'll know I speak truth. We're going to have to give up a ton to get him. Fortunately, we have a ton that we can afford to give up.

I love the sig with Silverbear's comment! The funny thing is, I got banned from the Ranch because he did not believe that getting Boldin could be a real possibility. Not banned by him directly, mind you, but they suck his nads over at the Ranch and I mocked him for his ignorance.

Please Jerry Jones, READ THIS:

With the unsure situation involving Terry Glenn as our #2 WR, we NEED to get a reliable WR. Boldin would do this for us and lining up alongside TO as our #2 and with Crayton as our #3, we would be SET on offense to make an even BETTER Super Bowl run. Hopefully Glenn will ALSO sign as an insurance and our #3 WR, mixing up 3-4 WR sets using all 4 of our WR, along with Witten at TE and Barber/F Jones out of the backfield. We would be UNSTOPPABLE!!!

GO COWBOYS

There you go Jerry Jones... now trade a #2 & a #5 or #6 for Boldin and let's get this season officially underway!!! I expect nothing less than a Super Bowl apperance... if we add Boldin, I expect MORE.

Like I said in another thread-Boldin's agent is the same as Lito Sheppard's. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Rosenhaus is the guy who's the missing link in pulling off a trade with both teams.

Really-I'm for it-why? B/c Samuel is going to get exposed, BIG TIME, when given a large amount of responsibility in man-man schemes.

That guy might not be reliable but ESPNews is reliable enough and they had it on the ticker. So in this case, RotoTimes nailed it.

I would love to see him here.

I'm one of the few, as you are theebs, that doesn't jump on the "Git ''er done, Jerruh" bandwagon. I'm with you on this one. I'd love to see him in Silver and Blue. Wow.

It's been reported on www.cnnsi.com as well...

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) -- A major storm hit the Arizona training camp one day before practice begins, when standout wide receiver Anquan Boldin lashed out at the Cardinals organization for failing to follow through on what he said was a promise for a new contract.

He said he had told his agent Drew Rosenhaus to end negotiations and that he would not re-sign with the team.

"Right now I don't want a deal," he said Thursday after the players went through a running drill. "You may think I'm funny or saying that just to say it, but for me, I'm tired of it. I washed my hands of the whole situation."
Boldin, a two-time Pro Bowl player and a team captain last season, said that he was promised a new contract before this season.

He has three years left on the four-year, $22.75 million contract extension he signed after the 2005 season that keeps him under contract through 2010. He's making an average of $4 million a year.

Arizona's other standout receiver, Larry Fitzgerald, signed a four-year $40 million, deal after last season, with $30 million guaranteed.
"It's not even about Larry's deal," Boldin said. "Larry earned everything he got. Honestly, he played his butt off. He deserved it." Boldin, considered the heart and soul of the Arizona offense for his rugged, intense play, was asked if he felt the Cardinals had lied to him. "Pretty much," he said.
"I'm real disappointed that it came to this point," Boldin said, "but for the last five, going on six, years I've given everything I had to this organization, dedicated myself and went far beyond what I'm supposed to do on the field."

Coach Ken Whisenhunt said he understands Boldin's frustration but still hopes a deal can be worked out. The Cardinals have little room left under this year's salary cap.

Rosenhaus and Arizona general manager Rod Graves met Wednesday night, but the sides were not close to an agreement, Boldin said.
"We are sensitive to the fact that he wants a new contract," Whisenhunt said. "We tried to address it. The first chance we get we're going to continue to try to do that. Hopefully we'll go forward and everything will go smoothly."

Boldin denied reports that his agent had asked the Cardinals to trade him, but when he was asked if he would prefer a trade now, he said, "Honestly, I don't know right now. I can't answer that." If he isn't traded, Boldin insisted he could put aside his anger toward the front office and play the game as he always has. "I'm going to do everything my contract requires me to do," he said. "If I'm supposed to be here, I'll be here. I'll outwork anybody on this field. I'm going to show up and be on time. I mean, I'm going to perform like Anquan. I don't know other way." Whisenhunt played down any impact of the disgruntled team leader letting his feelings be known the day before practice starts. "I think the reason Anquan was a leader (last year) is because the way he plays, the way he works. I don't think that's going to change," Whisenhunt said. "When you talk about professionals, Anquan to me is one of the ultimate professionals. He's going to show up and give you everything he's got, and I don't see that changing."

A second-round draft pick out of Florida State in 2003, Boldin immediately established himself as one of the league's best. He is the fastest in NFL history to reach 400 career receptions, doing it in 67 games. In his five seasons, Boldin has 413 receptions for 5,458 yards and 29 touchdowns.
Asked why he should get a new deal two years after signing his old one, Boldin said, "because I've earned it." "I think my numbers speak for themselves," he said. "Even they (the Cardinals) came out publicly and said that I outplayed my contract. I don't have to make a case to anybody why I'm deserving of a contract. That's self-explanatory."
