holdout maybe:D

Lets try this again:

If I'm supposed to be here, I'll be here. I'll outwork anybody on this field. I'm going to show up and be on time.

Well what is he supposed to say? The AZ Cards suck and they can go ****?

BTW-IF the Cards have a trade in the works for him, he's NOT supposed to talk about the details or anything.

He is talking about this season. After this season if he feels the same way that is when a trade would be worked. especially if they dont win again.

Actually he says my "contract requires me to do"

His contract is for 3 more years!

Other than Hester, players RARELY hold out, why? It's quite simple-they face hefty fines, up to $15K per day.

It's funny how the Philly media is saying how everything is goody-goody up there b/c Brian and Lito decided to show up to camp. But the reality is that both (apparently)need more $$ to feed their families, and neither can afford to get their paychecks slashed.

I don't necessarily agree. With a stronger defense, especially the secondary, a better running game and Romo's ability to scramble and improvise, we should still be competitive.

Definitely lower scoring games and much more of a dog fight on our hands. Still I see a winning season.

You may be right but a winning season, IMO, is not what we should be playing for. If we post a winning season but fail to meet success in the post season, I would view this year as a failure. We are in the window, IMO. The years you have available to you once you are in that window of opportunity are finite. I don't think we can afford to waste them. To me, without TO, we can depend upon the fact that we will beat the better teams in the NFC. With TO and another top WR opposit TO, I think we are assured of success in the post season. That's kinda how I view this scenario.

I doubt we would ever be able to land TO, Boldin and Williams but a combination of TO, Crayton and Boldin/Williams would, IMO, be a very formidable trio of WRs. If it were me, I would probably put TO in the Slot in 3 WR sets. Most teams use the weakest of the three CBs to cover the Slot so if you put your strongest WR in that match up, it's going to create serious matchup problems for teams. If a team changes it up and uses there strongest CB in the slot, much the way we have used Newman in the past, then it creates a different set of problems. Yes, you have a better match up but it gives the defense more to consider defensively. You then have to practice formations with your lead CB playing out of his base coverage position and the 3rd guy has to learn more because he is now playing the role of a starting CB in passing situations. As a slot coverage CB, you don't have the same responsabilities so it's easier to play the slot. If you add in motion, you can create even more problems by motioning away from the slot CB. Probably wouldn't matter. Any of those three WRs would enjoy a favorable matchup against almost any teams 3rd CB IMO.

Without TO in the line-up, we scored exactly 0 TD's in 6 quarters of play.

TO and TO II are vital.

Romo was also dinged, the running game last year was adequate at best and what were they really playing for. They were looking ahead unfortunately.

Those 6 quarters will not have the same offensive output (minus TO) this year. Things will be different. More focus, better running game, Tony at full speed, etc.

We all want the bowl, not just a winning season. It will be harder w/o TO or any of our other stars but still doable (except Tony). The WR options are not out there YET. Let's keep hoping.

We definitely need to snatch as many pies (superbowls) out of the open window as possible. The smEagles had that window open all those years and look what happen. :trophy:

Lets get it while the getting is good.

It would be impossible without TO, with the current set of WRs IMO. You can't win in the NFL and just be one dimensional IMO. It is very rare that teams who are not balanced win championships in this day and age. You almost have to have an all time defense that can just shut the other team down and we do not have that. We have a very good defense but we don't have that kind of dominating defense that just smoothers the other team.

I agree with you. Aquire all the pieces you can that can help you win and strike while the iron is hot. It only stays hot for so long.

Not really one dimensional.

A stronger running game to add to a weakened passing attack due to TO being down, but still effective due to Tony's scrambling and improvising, having a possible 2 TEs receiving treat and tony seeing the field spreading it around.

Our offense will still function. The defense I think is going to be very strong this year. If so, then alot of points won't be necessary for the offense.
