Demote him to what exactly? We don't have that luxury.
The solution is to draft a CB early-mid rd every year, because once a CB gets acclimated with the Cowboys DB culture they start to regress. Unfortunately we need to find replacements for Lewis and Awuzie next year because they too will start to regress next season.
This...which results in him grabbing the receiver as they go by him.Anthony Brown's problems are not from a skills perspective, I believe he has all the tools to be a pretty consistent contributor on this football team. His primary issue is his propensity to get caught looking inside which is a correctible habit with the proper coaching.
Yes Doctson did get away with a tug. I watched it clearly with the broadcast several times. Initially while the ball was in the air, Brown WAS NOT turned around and jostling with the WR with his hand/arm. He turned around but it was really late. Not egregious but understand it's 4th and 10. You've got to be sound.
If Taco regresses from here Michigan might revoke their scholarship offer.
I was just about to start a thread about who will cover Hill. He makes me nervous.I thought we released Nolan Carroll?
We need to sit him now, or else Hill will eat his breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Time to promote, Lewis, have him shadow Hill.

The hand fighting between wide receivier and DBs is nebulous. On one play it is fine (usually by a non-Cowboy player) and on another play it is PI (often against a Cowboy DB). Either it is PI or not. I don't care either way. Just be consistent,
Seattle hand fights all the way from the snap to the catch against every player on every player and when they do it, it seems to be "good defense".
A coach once said if you do something long enough refs will often quit calling it. It appears he was correct.
Fair but it just wasn't "clean"... don't give the ref the option is the way I see it. Tugging, pulling, arm bars, hand fighting, WR's falling, it just comes away looking "messy"... The worst part AGAIN is that he didn't turn around and play the ball until way late in the play. You're typically not going to get the benefit of the doubt if you're not turned around. It's 4th and 10 with time running down. Understand the situation. IMO he showed poor awareness and technique.
They changed the scheme from last year to this year. The solution is to draft a CB early-mid rd every year, because once a CB gets acclimated with the Cowboys DB culture they start to regress. It was primarily man but is now primarily zone.
Brown is now more dependent on LBs and Safeties.
Richard Sherman would have been out of the league if he played for the Cowboys. They would call him on every play. The hand fighting between wide receivier and DBs is nebulous.
