They were both handfighting and grabbing. could've gone either way or just a no call.

Biggest issue is that the WR is playing the ball and Brown clear does not until the last possible second. We all know the DB typically loses this battle. Getting beat deep is the only way you hurt your team in that scenario. Poor technique. Poor awareness.

I thought we released Nolan Carroll?

We need to sit him now, or else Hill will eat his breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Time to promote, Lewis, have him shadow Hill.
Lol. Bench our best CB. Lol.

I don’t understand why we can’t find a db that is aware of the fact that he is allowed to look for the ball and catch it.

What plays are you guys referring to that he got beat yesterday? I just remember a bad PI call against him. I'm having a blur on this bad player that performed yesterday.

THAT should have been a no call as the WR had his hand inside of Brown's jersey also

I think the Cowboys actually coach that out of them. They come here looking to make plays but they get coached to play ultra conservative

Anthony Brown's problems are not from a skills perspective, I believe he has all the tools to be a pretty consistent contributor on this football team. His primary issue is his propensity to get caught looking inside which is a correctible habit with the proper coaching.
He looks like he's doing a little bit too much pre snap / confused / late to react

He's not a cruddy player. I have always been concerned about guys running go routes on him going back to last year.

However he has proven to be a reliable guy and a good player.

Half of the people complaining think he gave up the earlier big play where he was in zone. That is where a lot of this comes from.

people can scream all they want, brown is going nowhere and is a good player.

so turns out I was wrong and he was in man to man and was beat on a double move. I havent looked at the all 22 but bryan and mickey just explained the play. I thought he had underneath responsibilities in zone and heath had the over the top player. Turns out he was just beat jumping a double move and heath had a route on the other side and was just helping and that is why he was late.

For the record, Brown is a good player. He had a rough day and was terrible on the PI given the situation.

Move him to slot.

Or hire a new DC this offseason that will play more press man D that would seem to work better for Brown who likes to get handsy.

If I could rebuild my defensive secondary with what we have:

Outside CBs - Lewis, Scandrick
Slot - Jones
FS - Awuzie
SS - Woods
Dime - Brown

always felt Brown was better slot DB. He is more quick than fast.

Might want to try this first:
Outside: Lewis & Jones
Slot: Brown
FS - Awuzie
SS - Woods
Dime: Scandrick

Since the 3rd CB is pretty much a starter in today’s NFL, demoting him from CB2 to CB3 is pretty meaningless.

Not really since the 3rd CB often plays in the slot, which is probably better suited for Brown.
