Anthony Spencer Signs With Saints

The New Orleans Saints have signed LB Anthony Spencer to a one-year contract. The announcement was made by Saints’ Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis.

Kinda bummed. I know he's probably not going to be a difference maker, but I wanted him back. If he has a similar year to what he did in 2012 when he was borderline the best player on our D (which is sort of what his last 4 or 6 weeks of 2014 looked like), then the Saints will get really good value.

You probably should be in a 34 scheme anyway. Probably easier to play for a guy who doesn't pay attention to detail instead of a defensive coordinator who watches every nuance.

Well it kinda was.

2013 was wasted because of it.

2014 he was not very good.

Yep he got to play a little more.

After 2 seasons of being the "Franchise" player all he needed to do was wrap up a typical 2013 season for himself and he would have had a nice 3-4 year contract with someone.
