Well it kinda was.

2013 was wasted because of it.

2014 he was not very good.

Yep he got to play a little more.

After 2 seasons of being the "Franchise" player all he needed to do was wrap up a typical 2013 season for himself and he would have had a nice 3-4 year contract with someone.

Yeah I was going to say, without that injury if he had played really well in 2013, he would have had a nice contract. He lost money because of it for sure.

Spencer did a lot of good things in RR's defense. He was a true 3 tool player (coverage, run defense, pass rush). He was never a great pass rusher but was a really good jack of all trades which is very important at the strong side OLB position in RR's defense. He played 3x more coverage than Ware.

Yes, but the fact they signed him does not make it a given we get a choice. It does offset some of the other acquisitions we got in terms of numbers, I think we have signed three less than have been lost.

I am glad he is gone and it takes away a reason for Dallas to be optimistic and hoping he returns to form.

Depends on the contract, I believe it needs to be over $1 mil to qualify. But if so, I think it may get us back to the 3 or 4 pick level possibility.
