Yeah, Witherspoon was one of the best college cornerbacks that I’ve ever seen. His tape is extremely impressive. I saw him playing this past season and right away knew he was damn good.

Then, after the season I saw his numbers:

92.0 overall PFF grade with a 92.5 coverage grade

0 TD’s allowed in 2022

626 snaps outside and 109 snaps in the slot

Only missed 2 tackles all season

Only allowed 200 yards total receiving in 2022

When in press coverage in 2022 he gave up 1 catch. That is it. One.

He was an easy evaluation. He’ll be an immediate pro bowl type… probably in Detroit because I don’t see Dan Campbell passing on him. Spoon is everything that Campbell preaches.
unfortunately we thought Forbes will make it to 26, it’s not looking good

This is the funniest thing I’ve seen all day.

Mayer = Kyle Pitts in redraft
I wanted to trade back into the 1st to draft Witten in 2003...
- I cussed Parcells when he passed Witten in the 2nd.

Last year I posted a week before the draft that Tyler Smith was the best OL in that draft...

He’s a stud. I’ve been a fan of him as CB1 and Banks / Forbes as realistic options for us at 26.
Witherspoon and Forbes are just such natural corners. The way they play, naturally, is how you coach it. They are coming into the league doing what the coaches will want them to do, for the most part.

I’d take Forbes before Porter, jr.

Banks absolutely doesn’t have those natural instincts… but he is an uber athletic guy. I like him, just not close to the other two.

Do you have Forbes as the #2 CB?

If he was just a smidge heavier I would… and really, everything I have is saying that he is. He just plays the position way, way better than Gonzales and Porter.

Gonzales doesn’t play corner nearly as well as Forbes… but he is physically so good, if he can learn he will be special.

So:

Witherspoon
Gonzales
Forbes

But like I said, I think Forbes is better right now than Gonzales.

Gold star on Witten.

Too early to tell on Tyler - but based off of year 1 looks like you’re wrong so far.

I’ve seen mocks with Washington taking him at 16 in the last couple of days.

I agree… he’s not going to make it.

I knew that he wasn’t going to be a 2nd round guy because he’s skinny. He’s just so good.

Tyler Smith was the best rookie OL last season.
- led the league in penalties
- top 10 in sacks allowed
- 71 PFF grade
- outside or top 50 in pass pro win rate
- 39 pressures allowed

How?
