McMahon asks him if the nerve is firing at 1:30 in the interview and he says yes.

Sorry to put a damper, but that's not how I heard it. The question was compound: he asked him if he was being reevaluated, getting MRI, and then "I mean is the nerve firing"? Jaylon seems to answer yes to the first part, that he's being evaluated and getting MRIs. I don't think he answered the second part. But judge for yourself

I agree, sounded more like a general yes to the question, not specifically about the nerve firing. Hr may be getting better sensation and is improving but if the nerve "fired".......we would have heard more from the team IMO.

What? There's plenty of footage of him aggressively engaging linemen excellent use of hands, and fighting successfully through blockers. His reaction time and attack on the ball when he reads run on the tape is extremely impressive, and stands out much more than Smith, who seems to lie in wait more, and even goes out of his way to avoid engaging blockers, tending to try to run around them.

I don't really buy that he's more raw than Smith either, in fact it looks more the other way around to me. If you can't see a clear difference in physicality and dynamism in making plays from the below DBD videos, I don't know what to tell you.

If you watched those videos and concluded that Jack was more developed and a lot more physical, then I don't know what to tell you.

That's how I heard it but was ridiculed yesterday when I stated as such. My main point was that if the nerve was actually firing, it would be huge news and we would be talking about him playing this year. That hasn't happened so I don't think he meant to imply the nerve had begun to fire.

This is totally a side issue, but are you typing from your phone.
I ask this because when I type from my phone my "He" gets replaced with a "Hr". And I've been wondering why the more common "He" gets replaced (through autocorrect) with the less common "Hr"? I've never even heard of the word "Hr".

Just a nagging inquiry, wondering if this is happening to others. Thanks.

They're obviously relying on Dr. Cooper's word, who wins awards and is a world renowned expert in complex knee ligament issues, retained by Dallas and consults Real Madrid, the two most valuable sports franchises in the world.

Kinda like arguing with Neil deGrasse Tyson about theoretical astrophysics. You may end up being right, but it's not from actually knowing what the hell you were talking about.

Man, I'm jealous...that's t quote of the internet era for me.

It's possible. It's also possible that he answered both questions.

I didn't read you being ridiculed.

The reason why I think it is the other is because his face is neutral as McMahon asks the same question already in a different way about what the doctors do and then it lights up when asked about the nerve firing and he quickly says yes.

“Day by day, the feeling is getting so much better,” he said. “I’m able to do a lot more. I’m actually running now, doing some actual football drills – linebacker drills and stuff like that.”
Smith is a mainstay at practices, working off to the side with the athletic training staff. They’re still just small steps in a long process, but he said that -- from footwork drills to working on resistance cords -- he’s able to see a difference in what he can do.
“A lot more, which transfers to the field,” he said. “And that’s why I’m able to do the cords and do ladders and all these different types of things that you guys see that previously I wasn’t able to do. We’re moving forward.”
Of course, the line of questioning will always go back to Smith’s peroneal nerve. The 22-year-old said he’s seeing positive developments, but it’s not an issue with a specific timeline for return. All the Cowboys can do is continue to monitor the situation.
