Myles Jack was more of a risky pick in terms of his future and Jaylon Smith was more of a risky pick in terms of the current year.

The fact of the matter is that we could debate the pros and cons of both until who knows when but only time will divulge the truth.

So you are using a simple linear equation if four equals 0, and two, three and four average 40, then logically two equals 80? Just asking and trying to follow along here and already having heard your disclaimers.

Yeah. Viewing the variables as simple ratios presented as %.

Not sure, but a lot of people missed the fact that Jalen Ramsey had micro-fracture on his knee is High School. Even when successful, the new cartilage grown with micro-fracture is very thin and likely has limited durability for a Pro Athlete.

What grows back is more akin to scar tissue than cartilage.

Not surprising.

Perhaps now people will get it.

And there will be no more "nerve fired yet?" posts.

I know it is ridiculous to think that you took an automatic redshirt in the second round, but we did.

Upside is worth it.

Who is this Dr Chao?

Former team doctor with the Chargers. Actually got in some hot water before stepping down amid some controversy after the union called out the fact he had a lost of lot malpractice suits and had a couple of DUIs.

He is on Kirwan's show on Sirius and pretty much does that now. But he has some quack to him.

In theory, yes.

But when you are relying on medical prognosis to justify that?

Smith's injury was not just a simple tear.

Nerve damage was involved. It is not often you have a nerve growth watch going on.

Risky. Almost roll of the dice risky.

But Jones has never had a problem with that.

The hooker blew on the dice in the second round.

Quite a few called it out during the draft process. Fell on deaf ears.

It's not as risky as you think. The more you look into peroneal nerve injuries the less it should concern you.

I found this from a couple of weeks ago on this twitter feed.

Hard to tell very much from that video one way or the other so it's hard to say right now. Kid is giving it all he's got....I commend him for his effort and courage. Wish him nothing but the best.

Sean Spence of the Steelers had a similar injury if I am not mistaken. So did Robert Edwards.

For a top of the second round player, it is risky IMO.

I get how you are dropping the medical knowledge here, but frankly you appear to be painting it as a yawner.

I don't care how much of an advantage we have with our team doctors being his doctors, we all know, or should know, that there is a degree of error involved

Absolutely.

He is working hard. I just see some of these video with him backpeddling and I get a little sad.

The team doctor isn't what I'm relying on. Many people hear, "nerve damage," and get anxious. That's understandable. But not recovering from this is the exception to the rule.

Recovering to what is the real question.

There have been a ton of world class athletes who could not come back from injuries to the level that they once had. It is not an easy process. Takes a special person to do it.
