Archer talked to Ware...Ware says he is doubtful for Philly but does not think it will be 3-4 weeks.

He's not having a very good year by his standards from what I have seen but I am not a stat watcher.

Hope he heals quickly.

I think that he's considered "impactful" by Cowboys fan, but I don't know how everyone else feels about his impact. As of now, his teams only has 1 playoff win and that will be factored in when HoF voting comes up.

I think he's more appreciated outside of Cowboy fans to be honest. He hasn't had much playoff success but just like Romo I won't blame that on one individual and neither will the NFL. That may hurt Romo but not a pass rusher. Tony Gonzales hasn't had much playoff success and he'd be a 1st ballot guy because he's regarded as the best tight end of our time.

The HOF is more about stats. Most of the players that are elected are so due to their career numbers.

If its about stats than there will be a lot of underserving getting in. Especially with the inflation in passing yards from receivers and QB's.

I didn't say it's "all" about stats I said it's more about stats. If it was all about stats Troy Aikman and Lynn Swann wouldn't be in the HOF. Troy got elected because he led the Cowboys to 3 SB wins and Swann got elected because he showed up in the SB's especially SB X. Staubach was elected to the HOF because he led the Cowboys to 4 SB's winning 2 of them and was one of the most clutch QB's in NFL history. Joe Namath is in the HOF because of the Jets huge upset win over the heavily favored Colts in SB III and Namath's famous guarantee. With the NFL being such a pass happy league today the numbers for QB's and receivers have inflated greatly.

The HOF voters will certainly take that into consideration when casting their ballots for players in this era. However stats will still play a big part if a player is outproducing most of their peers. DB's are still going to need a lot of int's to get HOF consideration. QB's and receivers are still going to have to put up yards and TD's and pass rushers are still going to need a lot of sacks. The numbers QB's and receivers are putting up today blow away the numbers of QB's and receivers 30 plus years ago because the game and the rules have changed so much.

Stats matter for the HOF. Championships matter a lot too.

If the Championships didn't matter, Jimmy Smith would be in the HOF instead of Michael Irvin.

Heard this morning on SiriusXM NFL radio that it is looking more like 1-2 weeks missed for Ware. Not as serious as originally thought.

For what it's worth Glazer tweeted last night that people should be thinking more in the 1-2 week time frame. He believes that Ware will only miss the Philly game.

If this turns into a 3 week injury, I say sit hit him versus the Saints the following week, giving him the bye week as well to get fully charged.

If it only turns into a 1 week injury, so be it.
