Let me say this, EVERY year, you should be trying to find pass rushers until you have studs across the board. We don't need to be trying to find his replacement, we need to be trying to find someone to put on the other side who's dominant also. That's always been the problem, and Spencer only showed a tad last year. I think the O-Line is about where we need it to be, and now it's time for the D Line, mainly pass rushers, need to take over the draft.

I said suspect secondary. Last week they looked better but had pressure on the QB and RGIII was off big time. It's going to take more than one good game in order to wipe the memories of being torched for the first 5 games.

That I'll buy.

I think this will be better for him in the long run. Let him heal up and get right.

I agree, but it's too bad that 4 of the next 5 games are on the road. (Eagles, Lions, Saints, G-Men)

The Vikings at home are sandwiched in the middle. On the bright side, best case he could be back for the Saints and Giants.

He had all offseason to get right and he was right at the start of the season but once again he's got another injury. He'll start the season healthy and immediately something pops up where he can't stay on the field. It's been like this for the past 2 seasons with him. His body is breaking down.

So you're a Dr. also?

What injuries? You think he is any more injured then any of these other guys? They all had injuries. Ware is going to play another good 3 years and maybe more. I don't see any of his current injuries retiring him. Heck, Kevin Greene played his last like 5 seasons as a situational pass rusher. I think Ware has a lot of time left in front of him.
Eh, you're a lot more optimistic than me. None of his injuries by themselves are career threatening, but there seems to be so many that they are just going to slow him down a ton.

Last year, he had 11.5 sacks, but after the neck/shoulder/arm/whatever problem popped up, he had just 2.5 sacks over the last 8 games. This year, he has looked less explosive, mildly productive (that 4 sacks is misleading imo), and is now going to miss a couple of games with his workload already reduced. I just don't see him hitting 10 sacks a year as a situational guy...and I dont see him playing more than another 3 or 4 with all the injuries.

Just looking for an argument as usual? You don't have to be a Dr to see he's having trouble staying healthy. He had another neck burner earlier in the season which has been a recurring problem and now a strained quad.

I think the HOF is more about impact. Ware has been regarded as one of the most dominant pass rushers of his time. Guys like that don't miss out on the HOF.

I think that he's considered "impactful" by Cowboys fan, but I don't know how everyone else feels about his impact. As of now, his teams only has 1 playoff win and that will be factored in when HoF voting comes up.

I don't agree at all that Ware should hang it up. He is STILL ON PACE for 10+ sacks.

I might, however, be time for Ware to become more of a designated pass rusher type of player. I'm not sure his body can hold up to being a 3 down player any more.

Good post.

The HOF is more about stats. Most of the players that are elected are so due to their career numbers.
