But as an outsider, I saw an incredibly strong tension between Owens and the Eagles. I've never seen anything like it before ... not of that intensity..

Oh sure ...I agree, it was intense! In fact, some how, that intensity manfested itself between McNabb and Mr 81. I really do believe that McNabb will try his best to do everything in his power to beat Mr 81's team (not the Dallas Cowboys per se, but Mr 81's team).

I also think that in the Eagles case, it's more of a team effort to beat Mr 81 than the Cowboy's to beat Eagles Mr 5! What I'm saying is that in Mr 81's case, there are individual players from the Eagles on both sides of the ball who have some passion about either stopping number 81 or beating His team. Retrospectively, the Cowboys (other than the division rivalry ...which will suffice) as a team do not have the same "get back at ya - type revenge Outlook" toward McNabb.

Now I could be wrong, because I've Been wrong before. Let me know.

Didn't Eagles fans stage a mass demonstration against Owens? Maybe something sponsored by a local radio station? I thought I saw footage of fans burning their number 81 jerseys. I believe a casket was involved too. It looked like some of the demonstrations that happen in the Middle East

I'm not certain, there ia a Huge hatred thing going on between the Fans and number 81, but that will have no impact on what the Players do on the field.
Some fans have burned their #81 jerseys, some are keeping their #81 jersey
to do something with during the game ...I'm not about that.

Absolutely nothing like that in Dallas about Keyshawn.

No argument. But from an Outsiders (non Cowboy fan) point of view, I think it would have been better for the Cowboys to get rid of someone else and to have had #81, KeShawn, and Glenn rotating in some huge numbers ...which could have ultimately opened up some opportunites for JJ on the ground.

Just an observation.

Trent Cole is a foreign name to me.

Who does he play for and does he play in a 3-4 or 4-3 defense?

It's a joke, for all the crazy people who consistently create threads like

"Manny Lawson Saves Kittens from Fire! Should we have drafted him instead?"

"Shawne Merriman had a big game against *gasp* the worst team in football! We'll RUE the day"

You know - the people who constantly slobber over people we could have picked, and passed on, rather than appreciating the talent here already, and how good it is.

Trnet Cole was drafted by the Eagles about 10 spots after we took Canty. He is strictly a 4-3 DE, a pass-rush specialist. He does have 4 sacks so far this year, and he has a high motor, but he would not fit here. It's just a little nose-thumbing.

Gotcha - trying to stir up trouble huh ......?

That's cool - no reason to let things stagnate.

I did look up Cole after my last post and completely changed it - basically I found out what you just said.

I admit Cole is my favorite Eagles player right now. In one move he changed a 50 yard FG attemp into a 35 yard attempt so that the giants could tie the game and bring it into overtime. Damn fine player you got there. :lmao:

The Cowboys swept the Eagles last year. One of them was stolen. And with Owens now playing for the Cowboys, no doubt the Eagles will be up. Maybe too up for their own good. And that stadium will be crazy.

Gotta wonder what would happen if Owens managed to score a couple of times in a Cowboys win. It'd probably be pretty humiliating.

I was sorry to see Keyshawn go. But given the addition of Owens, the switch to a two TE set, salary cap issues, and the need to keep some younger WRs, the move made sense.

Keyshawn does a lot of things very well, but he doesn't stretch the field. I don't think he's a good fit for a two TE offense.

In red zone situations we could line up Muresan, Manute Bol, Shawn Bradley, Dikembe Mutombo and Yao Ming across the goal line to prevent any lob passes.

If I'm not mistaken it was not my side of the story it was the big replay and the refs side of the story.

You are right.

His game-changing "QB-kicking" qualities are almost second to none. How many palyers do you know that would make a play like that in a crucial situation?

Sean Taylor? Maybe?

That's a rare talent the EAgles have on their hands.

Black helicopter alert - Cole orchestrated the OT so that he could start at DE. It could happen, man!

I know he made my day with that big kick to help set up the big kick for Giants. hitting the 35 is much easier than the 50 yarder. So once again good going Mr. Cole and keep it up

What was the biggest kick of the game?

That would be Trent Cole's attempted kick to the privates of Giants tackle Kareem McKenzie. McKenzie was trying to help Cole off the ground with 10 seconds left in the fourth quarter when Cole attempted to connect, and missed - but still got flagged for a 15-yard foul that allowed the Giants to tie without running another play. "Bad aim, fortunately," McKenzie said. Cole said he couldn't comment; teammate Jeremiah Trotter said that play "wasn't the one that lost it for us." Beg to differ.

Well, visual evidence sure shut him up! There is always an excuse for that stupid team from eagles "fandoms"...! It's "always someone elses fault"...

The sad thing (or good from my perspective) is that the eagle team lacks disicipline and it starts at the QB position, as evidenced by his little jr.high antics at the line of scrimmage, laughing and joking around on the sideline during games instead of keeping his head in the game itself...and then when the tables get turned on him, there he is...looking like a fool with that long face of his....

They look like a good team at times, then, as usual...BAM! Down they go, year after year, after year...same thing...losers.

That pic is photoshop, BTW. Kearse is 2 inches shorter than McKenzie.

It's VERY, very good photoshop, but photoshop nonetheless. Cole didn't hit him.
