Honestly, I don't understand these guys (those without real medical issues). They are in an industry where they only need work for at maximum ten years and can make mega millions of dollars if successful, whereas most people have to work for decades and still not have enough money to retire. I think there is a lot of different things going on in Gregory's case. I agree with you though.

Heck, they can still smoke all they want.. They just have to clean out a month before their schedule test. They can smoke 10 months out of the year.

His extended suspension absolutely rules him out for the rest of the year and all (or almost all) of next season.

I haven't seen an official ruling on this. Do you have a link on an extended suspension?

Ok so I'm just confused. At first I was hearing he was suspended for another year on top of that 14 game ban but I haven't heard anything official. So does that mean he can play week 16 versus the Lions? I just wanted some clarification on his situation.

No, you're describing Mayowa. Gregory is much more than that. He was excellent against the run in college and he was a good bull rusher. He punished the guy that is now the Giants LT.

That isn't a factor.....it wasn't with Gordon or McClain...it is usually because appeals are still alive

It is strange that nothing was confirmed by the team or League....Drug Appeals are usually heard on the last Tuesday of every month

I would rather take weed (which is VERY effective for a number of health issues) rather than prescription meds (which can lead to a number of side effects that can lead to more prescription meds to offset the side effects. It's a vicious cycle). I agree Randy should know better if he's using it to deal with his social anxiety, but the real issue is the NFL's archaic policy when it comes to marijuana use and choosing to look the other way when it comes to its health benefits rather than researching it and looking out for the well being of the players.

No there are other medications. I know some love to claim weed as some cure all but Gregory can't afford to continue to play this game.

The real issue is weed is a violation of the rules and if Gregory continues to do this he is not going to play football. There is 1 chemical CBT in marijuana that has positive effects on anxiety and can be purchased with a very remote chance of testing positive. THC is not a chemical that should be used in cases of anxiety.
