The real issue is weed is a violation of the rules and if Gregory continues to do this he is not going to play football. There is 1 chemical CBT in marijuana that has positive effects on anxiety and can be purchased with a very remote chance of testing positive. THC is not a chemical that should be used in cases of anxiety.

I saw that..

Nate Diaz was using it after the McGregor fight. It's perfectly legal.

I wonder if Gregory even knows about it. It doesn't seem mainstream. Diaz was the only guy I've heard using it.

Gregory has a massive, crippling social anxiety problem that is only remedied with marijuana.

That's the only update you need.

Maybe he needs a Doctors Subscription for Medical Marijuana. Wonder how the NFL would handle that one. :)

If he doesn't then people around him like his agent or someone should. I think a lot of people point to medical marijuana as a means to legalize if for recreational use and use the ruse of medical purpose. THC does nothing to help the person

Yes, rules are rules and I've agreed by saying he should know better. What has me outraged is the NFL's stubbornness to acknowledge all the scientific research that has shown all the positive effects of marijuana use (pain management, arthritic relief, aid in concussion symptoms, etc....all things plaguing the average NFL players). I don't necessarily have problems with rules, I just have a problem when the rules make little to no sense.

Yes there is a chemical CBD in marijuana that can be extracted that can help but smoking and getting high is not a solution. All those ailments you mention people can use CBD without ever getting high.

I would rather take weed (which is VERY effective for a number of health issues) rather than prescription meds (which can lead to a number of side effects that can lead to more prescription meds to offset the side effects. It's a vicious cycle). I agree Randy should know better if he's using it to deal with his social anxiety, but the real issue is the NFL's archaic policy when it comes to marijuana use and choosing to look the other way when it comes to its health benefits rather than researching it and looking out for the well being of the players.

The NFL continues to point to it as an image problem. IMO this won't change even if you see legalization everywhere.

Listening to the Break, they're talking like Gregory's gonna play the final 5 games of the 2016 season - starting with the final two regular season games.

Sounded pretty confident that he could continue appealing to prevent Goodell and Mara from trying to rape us...

Dude, with Collins coming back from IR also..... Sheeeeeeiit...

Just imagine the power the Star will yeild after we win #6 and Jerry goes into the HOF in the same year... Nobody in the NFL league offices will ever oppose Jerry, Steven, and Co. again...

A lot of claims being made in this thread with little to no citations provided.

If the NFL hasn't even announced that he failed another drug test, what appeal are we even concerned about?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but Gregory was suspended for the first four games, then he was suspended for the next ten, then there was a report that he had failed another and was going to get the Josh Gordon treatment of suspended until Goodell decides to take him off. However, the NFL hasn't said anything about it, so it shouldn't be subject to appeal.

To me, if I'm suspended for 14 games, I can play after 14 games until the NFL tells me otherwise. Only a goose stepping fascist would not give you notice of a transgression without due process and then punish you.

Good news if he is in shape, mentally and physically. But Cowboys should hedge their bets and add more potential fire power to pass rush. I would re-sign Shaneil Jenkins (that hammy has to have healed by now) as well as pick up James Cowser off Raiders PS. Would consider Davis Tull off Falcons PS too.

Jenkins success came at DT, IIRC. They seem set at DT.

It appears that Tull was cut from the practice squad about month ago.

James Cowser is now on the Raiders 53 man roster.

Would still sign Jenkins. Is Victor Ochi still on Jets PS? If not Cowser then Ochi then.

As soon as he comes off suspension, he's to be moved to NFI. He tweeked his lighter thumb.
