In a parity league, 8-8 is not the end of the world because the difference between one end of the spectrum and the other is not that great.
We're not frontrunners and anything other than that is not good enough for Cowboys fans. I just quit posting in that pessimism thread and I feel fine.
Your first paragraph makes no sense. There has been parity in the league for over a decade... Going on 2. We are one of only 6 teams in the 17 year time span we keep discussing that has 0-1 playoff wins. That's out of 32 teams. The reality is that parity should work for you! Have a bad year and turn it around. But the fact that we are .500 all these years with a few low and high outliers says something. As I said in the other thread, expecting excellence isn't a bad thing after having 26 of 31 winning seasons. Getting to .500 and relying on parity is just sad. It's something that should be taken advantage of. There are teams that have managed to be tops and manage the parity waters. i I don't necessarily agree with OP but you just like to label people without making any sense for your reasoning. Just get some objectivity when discussing the sport.
