I want somebody in the Legion of Boom to lay out Gronkowski with a Ronnie Lott-style hit and start dancing afterwards. Unfortunately I think he is pretty much going to be a thorn the entire game.

Bill Parcells: 0 career playoff victories (in 8 seasons) without Belichick on his coaching staff.

He did go to the Super Bowl with Al Groh as his D-Coordinator.

I guess Belichick serving as DB coach must have done the trick.

I wouldn't say I hate them but I am rooting against them in the SB. While they do have a strong record out of division/conference, I think anyone would admit they have benefited from the weakest division in the league for a while now.

Regardless, they are extremely impressive. Their FO/organization avoids drama as much as possible and I was pretty shocked to hear about Aaron Hernandez when he was arrested.

6 SB a appearances since 2000

That's crazy.

and Brady's played in 9 championship games in what 12 years? Unreal!

I'm envious of their success, its what I grew up with here in Dallas but I don't hate them. I'd probably start to if they beat us in a Super Bowl though

I guarantee anyone that tries that ends up in far worse shape than Gronkowski does.

If you're the type of scumbag that wishes injury on an opponent, then with Gronk go below the waist. Pulling a Ronnie Lott is suicide.

It's funny because if the Steelers are still alive then I'm constantly pulling for NE so there can be someone to knock them off. But once Pittsburgh is out of it then I'm all about the Pats losing.

Their entire organization from the top down is built to win. Every year, people say the Patriots era is ending only for them to once again make it deep in the playoff picture. Cant hate on that, sorry.

Don't know.

Anybody could manipulate 'facts' the way they want them to.

All I know is Belichick has 0 Super Bowl victories without Romeo Crennell.

That's true, but tell us: How did Crennel do on his own? Did his performance as a head coach in any way indicate he was the true brains behind the Patriots Super Bowl wins? Who would you say has been more successful: Belichick without Crennel or Crennel without Belichick?

I look forward to you completely ignoring all those questions.

And how many playoff victories has Belichick have without Brady?

We can do this all night.

That's the point.

Not injury as much as wanting him to be afraid of going between the hash marks.

Its just fishy how someone as big as an offensive lineman or defensive end can run the way that guy does. Really fishy.

I can't hate the Patriots, they were the final fatal hurdle in the Eagles not winning a Super Bowl.

And they keep things interesting. Always up to some mischief the scamps.

Just think how boring that division would be without Bradbellichick.

Bill Russell said:
Choose your enemies carefully....you tend to become like your worst enemy

Do the Patriots remind you of another team in history? Both had
  • HoF QBs that won in the 4th quarter
  • HoF system coach great with X and Os....not gregarious ( :D ) , tends to be stronger on defense. Discouraged trash talk.
  • culled out veterans if they did not develop or were too pricey
  • Winnest team in a given decade
  • No meddling owners

Oh, I'm first on the bandwagon when discussing Belichick being unsuccessful until Drew Bledsoe got knocked into the middle of next week. Of course, there are extremely few great coaches (arguably only 1) that won multiple championships without being attached to an all-time great player so by bringing up players, you're comparing apples and oranges.
