During the Saints Falcons game Guden and the crew were going off about the new mouth guards the Saints were using. They went on and on about how they improve balance, coordination and range of motion.

The crew tested it on themselves with different exercises and they said although hard to believe, it really made a difference. Gruden is absolutely sold on it as something that affects performance. Any trainers or sports medicine majors here who know anything about it and the validity of the claims and how it works?

I thought they were joking.

I don't see how a mouthpiece could improve range of motion.

I thought it was a joke too, but the delivery was poor.

Man, maybe I read it wrong but they were pretty adamant about it. If they were kidding don't I look like the horses rear end. Wouldn't be the first time in my life.

I suppose they could have been serious.

I just have a tough time thinking any sort of headgear would allow you to reach further than before.

I'm calling BS.

Next thing you know there will be some guy coming out with a jock strap that properly aligns your junk and gives you the ability to lift an extra 30-40 lbs.

"...We believe that these results flow from a combination of factors, including a more efficiently functioning neuromusculature, and enhanced oxygen flow through an increased airway..."

My guess... scientifically proven placebo.

They weren't joking at all.
Whether or not it actually works is a different debate but they were not joking about it. They were legitimately sold on it's effects.

Ah you never know. They may improve the range of your jaw. Chewing Bones maybe easier with them.

Called Viagra. Don't use it if you don't need it, speaking from experience.

That's the way it looks.

Good find on that site.
