Anybody not think this is coaching?

Who knows really. Seems like the franchise has become a black hole where it doesn't matter who the coaches are, what schemes we use, or who the players. All of those have been changed multiple times yet the team has stayed at roughly .500 the whole time (144-145 I think it is since after SBXXX). Players that were good players elsewhere come here and disappoint. Players that were bad here go to other teams are are suddenly viable options. I'm not really a believer in the super natural, but the Cowboys are the best evidence that curses are real.

When it comes to just this year specifically, regardless of whatever else might be in the mix, we have just had a lot of bad luck. I hope that changes for the 2nd half of the season.

Stop it!!! everyone that thinks this just stop it!!! Coaching is not the problem you could say defensive coord. But coaching is not the problem. It is the palyers. The patriots execute. Garrett is building this team, but he needs to be given the time and patience to fiinish, he is still cleaning out the rif raf that Parcells and Phillips left, the culture those guys Ieft. The depth that people are always complaining that we need on defense well we have it, they are starters, and they getting primed a couple may become starters but if we keep them, they will be the rotational guys need. yeah, the defense is getting hammered but they are being forged into a weapon of destruction, Sean Lee and Hatcher will not let them quit.

People watch this team.

Sorry but the rift rafts that Parcells and Philips left behind actually made it to the playoffs and has given this team a winning record. Because those two coaches have done more with less talent so your argument doesn't hold up.

Garrett has lost more games for us during crunch time than any coach in Dallas's history. His nothing more than an average coach. This is his 3rd year and we are still the same team since he took over for Wade - we are still an average team and will stay that way until we find another coach.

Using a team that has Tom Brady as the QB might not be a good example.

Cowboys Defense: Players are the problem.

Cowboys Offense: Coaching appears to be the problem.

Tom Brady has been awful this year.

For everyone who thinks its the players and not the coaching that is stopping this team from being great, let me ask you a question. Minus the fact they play in a very easy division, how is it, that the Patriots, with no receivers and mediocre run game and an alright defense, are 6-2? Brady has been having one of the worst seasons of his career and still pulls out wins. Now if thats not good gameplanning and adjusting to other teams i dont know what else needs to be said. This team needs a coach that has a clue about what goes on on the field, i dont care how good he is at managing personnel i want to see that translate to wins when we should win.

Im not going to list thePats injuries but the Cowboys Dline injuries left Kiffen with one original starter. Tampa Bay 2 requires pressure. We were a couple of defensive players away from the defense having all it's toys in place. Still I think the defense could have done a better job in several games including of course the Lions game.

Anyone who claims it's coaching remember how it was Ryans fault our D sucked last year so we got Kiffin as a fix and now Rob has a pretty decent D in NO and our D still sucks?

It is management to coaching all the way down to talent and depth. Starts at the top and rolls downhill. Only a new head coach with skins on the wall has a chance to turn this around. I don't see a new or young HC dealing with this atmosphere.

I don't want Gruden much either, but he just might have the best chance for success IMO.

First off not just any good coach will come in here to adhere to the face of the franchise....secondly Garrett has a meager 3 years on 18 in a row.

So your saying that we should give Garrett several more years to prove his worth? Your also assuming that no good coach will come here? Jerry brought Parcells here and turned this organization around with much, much less talent than what we have now and made it to the playoffs. He was not afforded 3 or more years to get the ship righted right away. He changed the course of this organization within a year or so. Coaching really does matter. It can make or break a good or a bad team. But Im not willing to give more years to Garrett to see if he can turn this organization around. Enough is enough.

There are two reasonable explanations.

Injuries is one. Both defenses are/were bad and have this in common,

The fact that Kiffin was really not an upgrade at this stage in his life is the other.

And while we can pretend that Ryan's success in New Orleans is "talent", care to explain where it is decidedly better, talent-wise?

So was New Orleans D was last year. In fact, they their D was the worst in the league last year. So now that they have Rob that turned that D around. Which proves that is not talent that turns teams around. Its coaching.

Garrett is nothing more than an average coach. He won't turn any team around despite talent. We can have all the talent in the world but we will still get mediocre results. Thats why you need a good coach that knows what his doing. Garrett doesn't know what his doing. He is in over his head.

there's is penty of talent on offense to have an elite offense. the defense is depleted, just like last year and coaching can only do so much with guys off the streets. if Garrett was smart, which I don't think he is, I would make changes on offense because what he has been doing the last 3 years is not working, and more of the same will get him fired.

Dez has to be the number one option from here on out. Period. Calvin Johnson makes catches in double coverage, im pretty sure dez did the exact same thing for the second TD. Give the ball to our playmaker and let him play his game. Im happy TWill is getting looks, but really 10 in a row is disgusting. Im getting tired of watching this team shy away from wanting to win and playing not to lose. Thats a COACHING issue, not a talent issue. The overall gameplan isnt designed by our receivers or our d linemen. It comes down to COACHING period
