Lol I made 1 comment. You are the one obviously getting upset, letting me know you didn't care. All i was saying, I think it's weird a grown man would find something like this, and make a thread about it. Just like you think Irvin is weird or annoying for his comments. So if you don't like what Irvin says don't watch NFLN or turn off the TV/flip channel when you see him, aka ignore him.

When he says my son, he is obviously referring to the fact they both wear 88, and Dez is on his way to being great like Irvin once was. He's a cowboys homer/huge fan, we get a ton of hate on tv. So a little over the top love does not bother me.

I like Michael Irvin, he's very enthusiastic about the Cowboys, fired up about a good play, I love watching that enthusiasm on TV.

On the other hand, this "my son, my son" stuff, in near tears, is too much for me. He's trying to be a little bit funny I think, but it's over the top. Michael is a great motivator, though, in a sports anchor world, full of Cowboy haters, I'm glad to see him on TV.

Its takes a lot to annoy me and that isnt one of them. But Irvin is my favorite Cowboy of all time so he can do no wrong. my Daddy!!!

mikes passion for the game his old team and the players in it are what separates him from the other guys on TV, as far as the my son thing i really dont see why anyone would be mad, except maybe dez..

He says it out of respect and admiration for Dez. He sees a lot of himself in Dez. It's not that uncommon to hear that phrase.. get with the times dude.

Irwin is a over the top homer, and it's entertaining to me as a Boys fan. I don't take him seriously. I really hate listening Dion and Carter.

I love Mike, but it's stupid and annoying. I'm actually embarassed for him when he does it because makes him look like a fool. There are many ways to show your support and admiration othen then shouting "my son".
